Hi Silvia,

We process them with the rest of our small stuff. About 3 hours on a Peloris.
We get them and process them on an ASAP run to embed cut stain and distribute
overnight to be on the pathologists desk at 8.

[Histonet] prostate needle bx

2023-02-02 Thread Silvia Bonner via Histonet
Hi Everyone,

What are the different processor run times for prostate needle biopsies? We
might be processing them and I wanted to get an idea of schedules and average
turnaround time. Are you doing the same day? Overnight?

Thank you,

[Histonet] Prostate Needle Bx

2014-12-04 Thread Nancy Schmitt
Our group puts the biopsies between sponges - they don't move around or get
tangled and we process them with the small biopsies. Good results.

How do others process prostate needle bx's - what kind of cassettes
do you use?Do you use sponges?Do you
wrap the tissue in lens paper?Do you process them on a biopsy (short)
run?Our bx's always seem to be less than optimal, but we do not have
problems with other small bx's.
