Two Israeli soldiers killed, ten injured in ambush in Gaza
Occupied Jerusalem: 20 November/00 - At least two Israeli occupation
soldiers were killed and ten others were wounded Monday morning when
a large road-side bomb went off outside a Jewish settlement in the
Gaza Strip.
A Zionist spokesperson said the two "Israeli citizens" were killed
immediately, while ten others sustained various injuries.
At least three of the injured were listed in serious condition, said
the Israeli occupation spokesman.
The occupation soldiers were escorting a bus with settlers on board,
but no one of the passengers was hurt.
The roadside charge, a relatively new tactic used by Palestinian
fighters,
is believed to have been detonated via remote control.
The Israeli premier Ehud Barak described the incident as "very
dangerous."
The Israeli Foreign Minister Shlomo Ben Ami blamed the Palestinian
Authority, saying the perpetrators must have come from areas under
PA control.
Both Barak and Ben Ami threatened to retaliate against the
Palestinians. (end)
