Re: [hlcoders] hl1mp source modding?
It's my guess that unless Valve figures out a way to support a real dedicated server for HL1MP they won't be releasing an SDK Kit for it either. - Original Message - From: ooks To: hlcoders@list.valvesoftware.com Sent: Monday, May 21, 2007 9:43 AM Subject: Re: [hlcoders] hl1mp source modding? Re: [hlcoders] hl1mp source modding?
You might be right. It should be easy to have a dedicated server available via hldsupdatetool (just require userid/password of a steam account that owns hl1mp), but AFAIK Valve has not yet taken any action in this area - at least none the they will publicly discuss. I'm having serious misgivings about planning my mod around Half-Life Deathmatch:Source. The lack of an SDK just stops everything in it's tracks. Can't move forward without it. Maybe it's time to embrace HL2, and shut down my hl1mp server :(. - Original Message - It's my guess that unless Valve figures out a way to support a real dedicated server for HL1MP they won't be releasing an SDK Kit for it either. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
