You're using different startup parameters for both servers, right? At the very least, make sure that the second server starts up with port 27016 or something other than 27015. That would be the first place to start. Aside from that, do you get any kind of error message? [hlds] TF2: Random (?) destruction of teleporter exits/entrances
I ran across an issue on pl_cashworks_a4 (not sure if this happens on other maps...) where engineers that destroy their entrances/exits may destroy other engineers' entrances/exits. Granted I haven't run through the exact repro case, but other folks noticed this during the game session. While I was playing as an engineer I noticed someone else's entrance blow up at the same time I detonated my entrance. Coincidence? Maybe, but other engineers were reporting this. Quake sounds and HLStatsX mods were installed on this particular server. ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds

[hlds] L4D LAN Game does not respond to Broadcast Query
I am attempting to get a dedicated server for Left 4 Dead running on our LAN and we simply cannot get it to work. I have diffed the cvarlist of a listen server (which responds) and our dedicated server and changed the settings for any and all differences. This simply did not change the results of browsing for those games. Has anyone seen this problem at all? Telling people to just 'openserverbrowser' is incredibly simpler than telling them to 'connect 10.x.x.x'. On a similar topic, why doesn't L4D support LAN Party gaming out of the box? At our events (we host approximately 150 person lans) we see a huge amount of usage of Valve games. The Lobby system is amazing for playing with friends or new groups of people, but taking advantage of 100+ people at a LAN Party apparently is outside the scope of L4D? Seriously? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
