Ban list for aimb0t: http://pastie.org/746534.txt
Ban list for BRUTALAIMING: http://pastie.org/746535.txt

The arguments against blanket group banning should be pretty humorous in
this case!

Re: [hlds] More Hacking Groups

2009-12-16 Thread Andrew Leach (luaduck)
The main problem with blanket banning is that quite commonly completely
innocent people end up getting invited to a group and getting banned.

Thanks for the heads up though, both groups have had exceptions added :V

Re: [hlds] More Hacking Groups

2009-12-16 Thread Matt Stanton
Haha. I'd be surprised if several of these people weren't already
banned from our servers already. We put a word filter in place that
basically permbans people for using a certain specific group of racist
words from our servers automatically. We don't ban for cursing, as our
community is far from G-rated, but we will absolutely not stand for this
racist crap that many of the dregs of the gaming community seem to be a
part of. Oddly enough, when we get ban protests from people regarding
the use of racist terms, when we go back through the chat logs in our
stats database, we find that the person was being a royal douche, and
the ban stands. We have only ever overturned one ban that was
automatically posted for this reason, and we fully research every ban
protest.
