Will we get a notification if we were accepted into the ranked server
program? I did apply for it... when I put my retail server online it
shows as ranked in the web panel. I wasn't sure if there was going to
be any kind of verification.

Can we used the old config files from the beta? I don't really like the idea
to do it all over again.

You can, although the safest route would be to bring your settings over to
the new configs to make sure there are no issue. Also, the full version has
all maps included, so you'll want to add the other maps into your rotation.

The server is on a host company running Windows Server.

Any thought on how can i prevent this from happening?

TF2 server hangs have been an ongoing issue for months. As far as I know,
Valve is looking into it, but no word yet on a fix. Hopefully, it will come
soon, as we have several of these per day as well.

I've heard of them, indeed.

I was wondering if it had anything to do with the replay system. The
publish part got me pointed towards it.

Have with replay disabled been suffering from the hangs?

Hangs have occurred (on windows server 2008R2) with and without replay, with
and without sourcemod, on 24 AND 32 player servers. At present, it appears
to be a steam issue, but a confirmed cause has not been found.

Re: [hlds] [TF2] ERROR: pulish timed out after 60 seconds

2011-09-13 Thread John Schoenick
For what it's worth, I've had publish timeouts occasionally on a local
filesystem. Like, all it has to do is rename them into place, on a
nearly idle disk. Timeout.

So while your FTP server being under load is a definite possibility,
there is some sort of bug that's causing this completely outside of our
control :(
