[hlds] sv_gametypes broken (in left 4 dead 2 dedicated server) ?

Hello,

I'm trying to restrict some gametypes with sv_gametypes in l4d2, but it 
doesn't seem to be working. I can connect to my server using any 
gametype and it will just serve that lobby. Is it broken?

[hlds] [L4D2] I want to remove defibrilators from versus.

defibrilators from versus mode ? I don't mind it in coop so much but I

I still have all demo files and last time i tried it's possible to run 
it with the exe , even if it's not in steam list anymore.

I don't know if you would make an archive of the files if 1) it is legal 
and 2) it would work on another steam account.

[hlds] Is there a solution for the steamgroup listing problem ?

Hello,

I wonder if there's any solution for this in the pipeline. I read 
everywhere that generally servers are having problems listing in the 
steamgroup that's designated with sv_steamgroup. Sometimes they list, 
sometimes they don't.

For example, my server is visible in our steamgroup for the group owner 
but I don't see it. For others, they're listed briefly and are gone.

Hopefully we'll see a solution for this soon.

[hlds] Can't see groupserver in steamgroup listing ingame...

hello,

i've set the variable sv_steamgroup idnumber but if i start the game I 
dont see a grouplisting for the server, even when i choose the menu to 
play on steamgroups servers, it will say theres no groupserver present.

what could this be ? (the group owner says he can see it).

Hello,

I'm a regular player of l4d, pre ordered l4d2 on steam and i'm ready to 
play on tuesday. I also decided to rent a dedicated server @ 
gameservers. Because I'd always want to be able to play on a slightly 
local area server without having to play with myself using my crappy 
upload speed. A place where I could be sure i'll always have a host to 
connect to when I want to play (either with friends, in vs or alone).

Also later I might want to do some fine tunings of the balance (maybe 
give charger some more hp , stretch spitter area a bit, cut on the 
weapons or other supplies : that sort of stuff.

But first things first. I hear about tune ups to be done on a dedicated 
server before you let it go live.

Gameservers already has my rcon password installed and I added some more 
variables like lobby reserve (mandatory) and a sv_search_key.

What other useful things would you advice for starters ?
