No, the current prerelease update has a change to the compression code, and will be a mandatory update (and thus non-preprerelease clients cannot connect). No! Currently they are not compatible because the update changes the compression algorithm. FletcherD: Because of the change to the compression algorithm, the PatchVersion was updated (this will be a mandatory update), and the prerelease server and client are not compatible with the main branch server and client.
