Indeed! Well done to the authors for sticking with it.
(And to Eric for pushing it over the line too!)

And thanks all for the WG fun! I agree that it's closing
time now.

Cheers,
Stephen.

Wow. I’m pretty sure I started as AD after the first version of this draft,
and that was when dinosaurs still roamed. Congratulations on getting this
done!

I (and probably with all co-authors) would like to thank Eric and the
chairs Kiran and Stephen for their constant support in moving this work
forward. We also thank the numerous reviewers for their careful reviews.

Yours,
Daniel

Hi Eric,
I am very happy to see that both the documents are now approved. Kudos to
the authors - I noticed they worked quite diligently in past few months to
bring the documents to approval level, addressing comments as they came in.
Thank you to you as well, for your continuous involvement in the process.

With the naming architecture and dhc-options out, the WG has indeed reached
its logical conclusion.
Congratulations to the authors!

[homenet] Homenet Mission accomplished ?

2023-02-01 Thread Eric Vyncke (evyncke)
Dear Homenet,

As you may have read on https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/homenet/documents/ the
last WG documents have been approved for publication:
- draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation-26 had a major rewrite end of
2022 and the intended status is now experimental per IESG request
- draft-ietf-homenet-naming-architecture-dhc-options-24 was approved mid-2022
but I was delaying its approval until the main I-D was finally approved, the
change of status in the main document has created a downref (i.e., a formal
reference to an experimental I-D), but this downref was accepted by the IESG

All in all, it seems that the Homenet WG can now be closed. As the responsible
AD for Homenet, I will discuss with the chairs when to close this long-lasting
WG ;-) Of course, the mailing list will be kept active.

Note: the perimeter security item of the charter will not be completed.
