[HOT] Queries on how best to use inconsistent address chains in Epworth Missing Maps inputting.
Hi All, I just wanted to check for feedback on conclusions reached at last nigfhts Missing Maps Mapathon. Epworth addresses have grown organically, so there are key gaps in address chains, which are unresolvable. Apart from limiting software interfacees in JOSM, can anyone see a problem with leaving Keys empty of values? Details are here: http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/rupertmaesglas/diary Does anyone know of similar anomalies? For ref., here is the wiki: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Missing_Maps_Epworth_Zimbabwe_Field_Mapping_2015_live Thanks all, Rupert ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
[HOT] How often is the Humanitarian tile set updated?
Hey all, Wanted to see how often the Humanitarian view/tile set/layer is updated? Is it at the same time as everything else, or is it done on some schedule? Thanks! [HOT] GAP Analysis or Regional OSM Mapping Assessment
Hello House, I would like to know if there is a way, tool, method or any service that one can you to assess the amount of mapping that has been done for a region so as to plan further mapping. For example, i want to plan how to complete road mapping on OSM for Kano State, Nigeria, is there any tool or service or method i can use to assess the amount of work has been done already for Kano? Simply put may be any service that can give statistic of percentage completion or summary of work done for road or other features to be mapped. I understand there is a similar service on Task Manager but i need such from the OSM database side because on Task Manager, one can create multiple tasks for e.g Kano which does give you the true picture. Will be expecting your assistance. Samuel Aiyeoribe ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
Re: [HOT] humanitarian font
Hi Mhairi When designing tools or map styles like he humanitarian style, it is always useful to have access to such free icons. If you have any need for icons to develop the Export tool, you can surely look more closely at this. Re: [HOT] humanitarian font
I found this: https://github.com/lvoogdt/Leaflet.awesome-markers which allows font markers. This could probably be adapted to use the humanitarian font icons too. 2015-06-17 6:02 GMT+02:00 Mhairi O'Hara mhairi.oh...@hotosm.org: These are great. Re: [HOT] Presenting HOT in a short video
Dear Tyler, Thank you for sending me an email. I think it will be interesting to make one for HOT. I have been making videos for years as a side activity. I could give it a try, but we'll need to create an outline of what the film will be about. Here is some of my previous work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0i1N9buhuIA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8CuET3W7ns This is a more recent film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh4xWn2pfQ0 It is just an overview of different styles. We can make a film anyway we want. Let me know if you are interested.
