[Hugin-devs] [Bug 679917] Re: Backup copy of project.
YES. Hugin-recent crashed on me again yesterday. ** Changed in: hugin Status: Incomplete = Confirmed -- Backup copy of project. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/679917 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Confirmed Bug description: Hugin just crashed on me. Pre 0.7.0 this happened so often that I knew I had to save often, or risk losing my work. So far this is the first since I went to 0.7.0. Now 0.8.0 crashed on me However I'm most pissed that a pto file got saved to run nona, but this gets (I think) cleaned up after running nona. So now I'm left with a project file with hours of work missing. PLEASE write a backup pto file where I can find it, or mention this project had unsaved changes when hugin crashed, load the backup file? when I start it. (then I don't need to know where the backup is stored...). ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs Post to : hugin-devs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Hugin-devs] [Bug 679917] Re: Backup copy of project.
When stitching and a crash happens only hugin_stitch_project (or some of the external tools) can crashs. Hugin itself is an own process, so there is no data loss, because the project file is still open. The second part would be an auto save option. This would be a now option, therefore set importance to wishlist. ** Changed in: hugin Importance: High = Wishlist -- Backup copy of project. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/679917 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. [Hugin-devs] [Bug 679814] Re: Panoglview could detect identical tiles for memory savings
** Changed in: hugin Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: hugin Importance: Undecided = Wishlist -- Panoglview could detect identical tiles for memory savings https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/679814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. Status in Hugin - Panorama Tools GUI: Triaged Bug description: The panos I shoot are rarely 360x180. The areas of the image with no data are generally black. PanoGLView program could save a lot of memory if it detected areas of a single color and used the same texture tile for the whole area. What I mean is that the part of the program that creates tiles for the 3D view could notice when a tile is all one color, and save it as a master tile to be re-used for other areas which are also that color. This would work no matter what color was chosen for the unused area of a partial panorama. It should save a lot of main memory in the computer and texture memory in the video card, which matters when you have a panorama which is both high-rez and incomplete. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs Post to : hugin-devs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

When I click on the [Get Hugin Now â–¼] link at http://hugin.sourceforge.net/download/ I am provided with the file \\\Hugin_2009-4-0_win32_setup.exe\\\. The location https://sourceforge.net/projects/hugin/files/ seems to only have Mac, Linux, bsd, and solaris versions for 2010.0.0. I downloaded the previous version Hugin_2009-4-0_win32_setup.exe using the 2010.0.0. link but the application does not seem to work for me. I have seen a friend use a much older version successfully but my 2009-4-0 version can not find any control points in two similar photos and it then produces various errors, see attached .png screen captures. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs Post to : hugin-devs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
