[Hugin-devs] [Bug 816847] [NEW] RC2: optimizer windows hide each other

2011-07-27 Thread Frederic Da Vitoria
Public bug reported:

v2011.2.0 on Windows Vista: when optimizing, first a Strategy 1 window
opens, then a strategy 2 window opens over strategy 1 but without
closing strategy 1, then the confirmation dialog opens, but most of the
times under the first two windows, almost hidden by them. IIRC, in
previous versions, everything happened inside a unique window, which was
much more convenient IMO.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 816850] [NEW] Helping incremental optimization

2011-07-27 Thread Frederic Da Vitoria
Public bug reported:

One of the optimization methods is: triggering each optimization option
in turn and accepting the results if the new optimization iteration are
better than those of the previous iteration. The only problem here is
that you need to remember the results of the previous iteration in order
to be able to compare! It would be nice if Hugin displayed the results
of the previous iteration too when asking of we want to apply the
changes.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 816847] Re: RC2: optimizer windows hide each other

2011-07-27 Thread Frederic Da Vitoria
Update: the optimizer don't always hide the confirmation window.

Suggestion: close the optimizer windows before asking for confirmation.
I believe the optimizer windows aren't needed any more since the results
are displayed in the confirmation window.

... and the screen grab for 2011.2 RC2. You'll notice the 3 windows,
Strategy 2 in the forefront, Strategy 1 just behind it and the
confirmation dialog almost invisible behind them.

report about the untranslated strings, please open a new ticket. No

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 792896] Re: Fast Preview Hangs or Crashes since 2011.0

2011-07-27 Thread Henk Tijdink
I'm running on windows XP sp3 32 bits. Unfortunately I can't build Hugin. After
a lot of tries had given it up.
But I tested it. On my system Hugin crashes only when using the assistant
opening the preview.
When using generate controlpoints, optimising the FPW gives no crash and I can
use it normal.

new session, load images, load a lens profile, set the canvas size
(Calculate optimal size), save-as and save profile then click on GL
(fast preview) button. Fast preview window comes up, shows anchor
  image and then hangs.

Is not reproducible. Running 2011.0.0.0fd3e119979c built by Matthew

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 806153] Re: Autocrop doesn't always work

2011-07-27 Thread Henk Tijdink
The problem still exists in RC2 from Matthew Petroff.
Found workaround for the optimal size under the stitcher tab.
Make an equirectangular preview go to the stitcher tab and calculate optimal
size.
Back to the preview and choose the projection which optimal size can't be
changed under the stitcher tab.
Now it takes over the value of the equirectangular projection.

Bug description:
In Hugin 2011.2.0 beta 1 for windows(2011.2.0.cf0eaefbe0dd built by Matthew
Petroff) I found after extensive testing the following probably related bugs.
My system windows XP incl. servicepack 3.

  1) In the fast preview window the autocrop function doesn't work with
  the following projections:

  Fisheye
  Stereo
  Transmercator
  Both Lambert projections
  Albers
  Orthographic
  Equisolid
  Thoby.

But under the Stitcher Tab the fit crop works for that projections.

  2) Under the Stitcher tab the function calculate optimal size doesn't
work for projections mentioned under 1).

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 789431] Re: 2011.2: test that HSI builds on a headless machine

I am afraid the current package breaks if wxWidget is not present. The

and without wxWidgets the build fails. Tested on Kubuntu 11.04
