[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1160697] [NEW] 2013beta1 - fast preview fov sliders not working

2013-03-26 Thread Brent Townshend
Public bug reported:

It seems that the fast preview sliders are not working in 2013beta1.
When sliding them, the image appears to follow the new settings, but
then snaps back to its previoius setting without changing the values for
the field of view in the Stitcher tab. Changing them manually in the
Stitcher tab does, however, correctly change the image.

If it matters, I'm seeing this under stereographic mapping.

Also, under stereographic mapping the vertical slider has been non-
functional for some time. It should be controlling the vertical field
of view (and consequently the image height).

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1005090] [NEW] Double-clicking in control points goes to wrong tab

2012-05-27 Thread Brent Townshend
Public bug reported:

Double-clicking an entry in the control points window is supposed to
move the main window to the control points display where the control
point exists. In the current version of Hugin however, the focus is
moved to the Stitcher tab instead of the Control Points tab.
Manually switching to the Control Points tab does show that the
correct pair of images are being brought up at the right position, just
the wrong tab is focussed.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1005092] Re: Change stack not working in expert mode

Actually, it may not be the mode, but the order of clicking. It seems
that if a region of images is selected and then the context menu is
used, that the image that was under the mouse when the context menu was
brought up is NOT affected by the change, but the others are.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 880605] Re: enblend mask optimization failures

2011-10-23 Thread Brent Townshend
I think this may be related to the --wrap=both option to enblend. One
of the images in this particular blending had part of its extent wrapped
around the edges of the image file. I think that's whats causing
enblend to think there are more seams and coming up with the bad result.

By the way, the bad result persists with seam optimization turned off.

it still appears related to the image overlaps crossing around the

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 731734] Re: SIGBUS in fast preview

2011-03-10 Thread Brent Townshend
Ran this under the latest Mercurial (5096), under gdb. Looks like
panorama_overview_helper is unitialized causing the crash. This
should be initialized in GLPreviewFrame::MakePanosphereOverviewTools,
but I found that this was never called (by setting breakpoints on it).
It is supposed to be called by GLOverview::setUp(), but I could not find
any code that calls this.

Looking over past revisions I don't see any recent changes that could
have removed a call to this, so I'm puzzled as to how this has worked
for anyone for a while.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 731805] [NEW] Vertical Slider in preview should be enabled for Stereographic

2011-03-08 Thread Brent Townshend
Public bug reported:

Although one can change the height of a panorama in the Sticher panel
for a stereographic projection, the preview windows' vertical slider is
disabled. I don't see any reason that it should be disabled.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 717908] Re: Mask images have black areas in fast preview

2011-02-14 Thread Brent Townshend
OK, that makes more sense. Guess I should read the manual more
carefully...

However, I think that the UI for this could be improved as follows:
- when editing the masks, it would be great to see a grayed-out area (or boxed
in another color) of the current image where another image already has an
include mask (effectively excluding this area from the current image).
- the UI could also prevent (or warn about) inclusion of an area that another
image already includes, if that really is forbidden
- or, perhaps areas that are included more than once should be treated the same
as areas that are not excluded -- that is, both included areas are fair game
for the final result.

[Hugin-devs] [Bug 717908] Re: Mask images have black areas in fast preview

2011-02-13 Thread Brent Townshend
In the attached PTO, there is a central include region in each of the 2
image files. In the preview display, the area where both masks overlap
is shown as black.

Also, it may be unclear what the meaning of an 'include' mask is. Is
it that the included region from the masked image should be used in the
final output (and the rest of the image may or may not be used)? Or is
it that if there is an included region, then all other regions of the
masked image are implicitly excluded from the final output? If the
former, then what is the interpretation of overlapping images that share
some 'included' region (such as the example attached)?
