[hugin-ptx] Panorama from a moving camera location
Hi! I have shot one side of a street by walking from the beginning of the street to the end. In other words my photos are from different locations instead of a traditional 360* rotating tripod shot.. I made sure the images have a lot of overlapping features. Make sure you understand how to mask out close objects to get rid of parallax errors. You can try to stitch it as a linear panorama, assuming there is a single plane of interest. However, you will get parallax errors for objects in front of behind the plane of interest. There is probably value in saving the output as a multi-layer TIFF and using GIMP to merge the images. Use CPFind to create control points between each pair of photos. Manually add vertical and horizontal control points to the plane of interest. Open the PTO file in Notepad to copy the horizontal control points to straight line control points. Optimize for roll, pitch, yaw plus X, Y and Z (except for the center photo).
