Re: [hugin-ptx] Hugin 2012.0.0 released
Didn't see this mentioned on the site. Does linefind work in 48-bit color images now? Watch http://groups.google.com/group/hugin-ptx for the announcements of binary releases. If you don't see a binary for your platform it has most likely not been produced yet. Users can now search the lensfun library and load lens parameters. Added new tool pto_gen for generation of pto file from image files. Other Improvements * Various improvements to cpfind including a prealign matching strategy and pair wise matching for multirow heuristic * Added option to keep exposure fused stacks * pano_modify: Added HDR autocrop option * Many more improvements and bug fixes. UPGRADING Upgrading from previous versions of Hugin should be seamless. If you do have problems with old settings, these can be reset in the Preferences by clicking 'Load defaults'. It is strongly recommeded to set the default control point detector to Hugin's CPFind. It is the only control point generator endorsed by Hugin. Third-party generators may be compatible with the plug-in architecture. KNOWN ISSUES AND WORKAROUNDS Panosphere Overview window seperated from the content https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/726997 There is a known problem building Hugin with CMake 2.8.5rc2. Workaround: Upgrade to a newer CMake version. Mac OS X: - Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) is no longer supported. - The PPC platform is no longer supported. - The OpenMP enabled enblend is now compatible on Mac OS X Lion (10.7). - The cmake compilation of Hugin is currently broken due to the fact that the boost library on OS X is currently at version 1.50 and boost versions = 1.48 conflict with a number of Mac OS X macros (from AssertMacros.h). This can not be disabled as WxWindows for Mac (a.k.a. WxMac) needs these macros. An XCode build, where a specific boost (=1.46) can be specified, is possible. The 2012.0 OSX bundle will be based on an XCode build with boost 1.46. Re: [hugin-ptx] Hugin 2012.0.0 released
First thanks again for all your work on this. When I first read your other email I thought it was a response to a problem. It makes more sense now that I've reread it. I had looked at the file sizes and worried that the installer being 5.7 MB smaller was missing something. Re: [hugin-ptx] Hugin 2012.0.0 released
Dear all, Binary packages of Hugin 2012.0 for Ubuntu Quantal (12.10), Precise (12.04), Oneiric (11.10), Natty (11.04) and Lucid (10.04) have been released at the latest Hugin build repository of the “Hugin PPA Packagers” teams launchpad at https://launchpad.net/~hugin/+archive/hugin-builds Please note that you will have to add this PPA to the sources of your system in order to be able to to benefit from the automatic upgrade facilities of Ubuntu. The process to do so is described at the page mentioned above. Users of the next hugin builds PPA should notice that they will have to use the latest Hugin build PPA, too: the next hugin builds does not carry the final release of Hugin 2012.0.0. As usual, please send your comments and questions regarding this binaries to hugin-ptx@googlegroups.com Have fun! Re: [hugin-ptx] Hugin 2012.0.0 released
On Mac OS X programs get registered on startup. This means that if you have been using Hugin 2011.4 with PTBatcherGui 2011.4, these programs are registered. When simply copying Hugin 2012.0 and PTBatcherGui 2012.0 to some foldee and leave the rest as it is, Hugin 2012 and PTBatcherGui do not get registered. If you start Hugin 2012.0, it will automatically be registered. If you start a stitch from hugin 2012.0, PTBatcherGui 2011.4 is called. This can of course be overruled by simply manually starting PTBatcherGui 2012.0 as it gets registered upon startup. The installer now does this registration for you, meaning that if you start a stitch from Hugin 2012, now PTBatcherGui 2012 is started. On the other hand: If you now start a stitch from Hugin 2011.4, PTBatcherGui 2012 is again automatically started. As such that's no problem as the call to PTBatcherGui hasn't changed fro quite some time. Harry 2012/11/6 Ian Tindale ian.tind...@gmail.com Hi Harry.
