Re: [hugin-ptx] video for Hugin

2015-11-12 Thread dgjohnston

Is any of this getting to sourceforge? Not sure we have to do anything new,
either of these two videos would be far superior to what they created.

    Hi,

I just saw the video Sourceforge is planning to put in the Hugin summary.
The idea of having a video is good, but the video at
<https://youtu.be/EYa21pinHJo> should have been prepared in order to show a
real use case. None of the situations shown in the video are of a real panorama
editing/stitching (altough the "panorama" with the animals could have its
purpose), so, they are absolutely misleading.
    Some of the tutorials, as
Stitching two photos togetherorStitching Multi-row photos togethercould be used
in order to create a new video which really shows what Hugin is intended for,
and how to use it correctly.
In few words: please don´t put the video at <https://youtu.be/EYa21pinHJo>
in Hugin project summary!   Luis Henrique

Re: [hugin-ptx] video for Hugin

2015-11-12 Thread David W. Jones
I think a video that shows what can be done using Hugin (maybe a set of
"before" pictures, then show the "after" panorama?), and demonstrating
the Assistant process? Would someone who's not even yet acquired an
interest in using Hugin be interested in steps on how to DO anything in
it? (That first video especially suffers from that.)

2015-03-02 Thread 'Jere' via hugin and other free panoramic software
Hello Bruno,

How easy is it to save as template? Sorry, I'm new to Hugin and could use
all of the help I can get.

Thank you!

Is it possible to automatize the panaroma creation with Hugin? What I
mean is, once I fixed the image orientation and directions, can I
automatize the panaroma creation for many shots those are done with
same physical positioning of the camera? by this way can I create
video frames and that make them video with another tool.. Do not
think about the fps and realtime video for now.. I am just wondering
if there is a way to do it with the current releases.. If not what do
you think about this? Have you ever been discussed this topic? For
instance which tools and codes need to be modified for such purpose?

There is some almost up-to-date information here on scripting the
 hugin tools:
 http://wiki.panotools.org/Panorama_scripting_in_a_nutshell

The simplest way to do this is to stitch one scene and save this as
a template .pto project. Then use the template to stitch the rest
 of your photos.
