Welcome and great to hear!For Geany core a pt_BR translation already was started and is nearly completed¹ -- Last update was provided by Felipe. If you want to edit/update some strings you might just download the daily updated po-file from there and send it back or clone Geany from our github repo. Once you have executed ./autogen.sh you can change to the po-folder and run make update-po -- this will update all po files from latest strings. Based on this you can use Geany (with the pohelper plugin) or a tool like poedit and provide a merge request. Don't hesitate to ask if there are any questions!
