Re: Old CICS
We have been running CICS 4.2 on z/OS 1.7 for SAP R2 for quite some time now. Although its not 4.1 its been extremely stable. rich -Original Message- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Stephen Wolf Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 10:27 AM To: IBM-MAIN@BAMA.UA.EDU Subject: Old CICS We are currently on z/OS 1.4 and are about ready to test z/OS 1.7. We are now looking at z/OS 1.8 or 1.9 by November. Is anyone running CICS for MVS/ESA 4.1 on any z/OS at 1.7 or above? Due to problems with an aggressive SAP conversion project the CICS retirement has been delayed. -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: GET IBM-MAIN INFO Search the archives at http://bama.ua.edu/archives/ibm-main.html

Re: Moving DASD Volumes from Mod3 to Mod9
We also migrated from MOD-3 to Mod-9s to help us reduce UCB's and get back PAVs. We used FDRPAS and this worked out nicely for us. The migration was smooth enough to run during our production day Rich Lopez -Original Message- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Kammer, Charles Sent: Monday, April 14, 2008 1:44 PM To: IBM-MAIN@BAMA.UA.EDU Subject: Re: Moving DASD Volumes from Mod3 to Mod9 We just finished moving about 12 Mod3's to Mod9's using FDRPAS without any problems or outages. Many of these volumes were high usage SMS type volumes and most were completed in 7 minutes or less. Charles S.
