Change system date

2009-11-19 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Hi there,

We are doing some tests with date change in our systems.

Has anyone tried, through JCL, etc., to change the system date?

We would cheat the system to indicate it that we are in other year, for
exemple, 2010.

Thanks in advanced.

Regards,
Raquel Calvo.

Use IFG0EX0B exit

2008-01-07 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Hi there,
we would like to use the IFG0EX0B exit to obtain the name of the job that it
created/modified a file.

Is anybody using this exit with this intention?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Raquel calvo.

Clone the master catalog

2007-12-13 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Hi,
I'm trying to create a copy of my master catalog with a REPRO, but I'm having
several problems, for example, indirect entries.

Does anybody know what utility I can use to clone the master catalog?

Thanks in advance.

Raquel.

Re: SYSAFF

2007-12-07 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Paul,
thanks for the information, but it's not our problem.

I've executed the following display:

$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO03) STATUS=ACTIVE,PERCENT=75
$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO01) STATUS=ACTIVE,PERCENT=1
$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO04) STATUS=ACTIVE,PERCENT=62

After, I've thrown 3 jobs, for diferent systems, and each job has gone to the
SPOO01.

I begin thinking that the jobs choose the SPOOL disc with minor percentage,
in this case SPOO01. If this hypothesis is true, what is the SYSAFF parameter
used for?

Raquel.

SYSAFF

2007-12-05 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Hi,
we have a 3-way-sysplex (SYSA/SYSB/SYSC) with z/OS 1.8 (JES2 MAS).

We want to divert joblogs to a specific disc of SPOOL according to the CPU
executions of each one.

With this command /$TSPL(SPOO0%),SYSAFF=SYS% we've assign a disc of
SPOOL for each system. We have:

 $DSPL,SYSAFF
$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO03) SYSAFF=(SYSB)
$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO01) SYSAFF=(SYSC)
$HASP893 VOLUME(SPOO04) SYSAFF=(SYSA)

When we execute a job with /*JOBPARM S=SYSA the joblog doesn't go to the
assignated disc (SPOO04).

Does anybody know if we need anything more to customize? Does anybody
know which is the use of the SYSAFF parameter for SPOOL discs?

Thanks in advance.

Raquel Calvo.

Divide the master catalog

2007-12-04 Thread Raquel Calvo Olmos
Hi there,
we have an 8-way sysplex with a unique master catalog for these 8 systems.

Our customer wants to separate this master catalog in 5 master catalogs
where each master catalog is shared by 2 systems.

Does anybody have a similar situation? how can we mantain the same
contained in these 5 master catalogs?

Thanks in advance.

Raquel Calvo.
