I'm using IFAUSAGE to record type 89 usage data for an ISPF dialog (IFAUSAGE REQUEST=REGISTER,DOMAIN=TASK,SCOPE=ALL...). The SMF manual says that the program does NOT need be in supervisor state in order to use the REQUEST=REGISTER function but, MUST be in supervisor state in order to issue the REQUEST=DEREGISTER function.
Is the DEREGISTER function necessary? Will the system perform a DEREGISTER function on behalf of my program at task termination?
