Re: need guide iehmove or adrdssu

2018-03-23 Thread Betsy Jeffery
Using ADRDSSU - if you are trying to MOVE the dataset, your message of 'not
serialized' means some other task/job/user has the file allocated. You must
have exclusive control to move the file. If you are trying to copy, you will
get the same message but it will be a warning of 4 and the file will be
copied. If you want the copy cataloged, give it a new name.

Instead of 'googling' try reading the manuals.
http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/os/zos/library/bkserv/v2r1pdf/ is for z/OS
2.1, just change the v2r1pdf in the URL to the version you need. That's
really how to learn systems programming instead of relying on those of us that
learn the hard way to do your research. We (I) don't mind helping but do your
homework first.

Regards.

Re: UTILITY TO READ SMF RECORDS

2012-09-14 Thread Betsy Jeffery
File 686 on the CBT 'tape' has a program called SMFDUMP that will format the
output into a report. It takes in most of the SMF records. I use it to track
down the same thing all the time.
