Will DB2 accounting trace records be written if a DB2 thread is automatically cancelled

2012-11-12 Thread Keller, Ted
We have a script in TMON for DB2 that automatically cancels selected DB2
threads if they exceed certain thresholds. When comparing cancelled thread
messages with SMF 101 accounting records, it does not appear that the
cancelled threads are being logged. Any ideas what might be causing the
cancelled threads not be logged?

Need help parsing DB2 Accounting trace data

2012-10-24 Thread Keller, Ted

I am trying to determining what the values mean in the CPU (QPACTJST) and
elapsed time (QPACSCT) fields in ICFID 239 accounting trace data. I have
not been able to find anything that indicates what units (e.g.,
milliseconds, microseconds, etc.) these values represent. I also noted that
there does not seem to be any correlation in the difference between starting
and ending store clock values (QPACSCB and QPACSCE) and the reported elapsed
time (QPACSCT) or the difference between entry and exit CPU times (QPACBJST
AND QPACEJST) and reported CPU time (QPACTJST).
