Re: Initiator - Identify the List of Jobs
So could you provide the reason for the question? What are you trying to research or resolve? Is the issue from a current issue (within a week)? Or past history (older than a week)? The more details you provide, the better the answer will be. SYSLOG Scans will be faster. DAF (from CBTTAPE.ORG) may be helpful Looking at the output from the job should tell you. If you have an automation tool like CA OPS/MVS and the event is recent, you could OPSBROWSE to see the data. Ok, now that I know there is an appropriate SYSLOG message, should I then add that MXG also can create an SMF record from any SYSLOG message, as part of the MXG Tape Mount Monitor and SYSLOG Record SMF Recorder? Re: Initiator - Identify the List of Jobs
MXG Softare, long ago, provided code for IEFU84 Exit to populate the Initiator Name and Number into the SMF 30 subtype 1 record: Change 22.136 The SMF Exit code to put Initiator Name and Init Number IEFU84 if the PROGRAM field in the SMF 30 subtype 1 record that Jun 24, 2004 was announced in Change 19.269 now exists in the member IEFU84, which is the JOB to assemble that SMF exit. Your System Programmer will need to install the exit for you, as it must be placed in an authorized load library, and he/she will want to examine this SMF exit code. MXG member VMAC30 already has the code in place and will now populate the variables INITNAME and INITNUM after you have installed the IEFU84 exit to add the data to SMF 30. But note that only "real" initiators have names/numbers; WLM-managed initiators will have blank initname and no value for initiator number. -Original Message- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:IBM-MAIN@LISTSERV.UA.EDU] On Behalf Of Jake Anderson Sent: Wednesday, July 27, 2016 11:01 AM To: IBM-MAIN@LISTSERV.UA.EDU Subject: Initiator - Identify the List of Jobs Hello, I am trying to fetch the List of Jobname that used a specific Initiator.
