Re: RSS feed from SYSLOG - RACF messages
Ugh... Those who want to have fun technically can also look at doing this with RACF SMF headers from 2.5 onwards. With a near real-time SMF feed. - KB ‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐ On Wednesday, December 8th, 2021 at 9:35 PM, Sebastian Welton wrote: > I've done similar with AF/Operator but many, many years ago. I've done similar with AF/Operator but many, many years ago. I wonder if this is the future of doing this: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/z-chatops/1.1.0?topic=overview Sebastian On Mon, 6 Dec 2021 10:15:58 -0500, IBM user wrote: >Has anyone implemented a feed from Syslog using RSS and AF/OPER? > >The idea is to present RACF messages to our service desk so they can have >immediate knowledge of users getting revoked, etc. > >I'm thinking I can write an exit program to use in AF/OPER that feeds RSS. > >Anybody done that? Re: RSS feed from SYSLOG - RACF messages
We had a client request that we send console information from our SyzMPF/z (console automation) product to a twitter feed, and we did it for them. But since that time (in 2018) no one has requested it again. It's a simple combination of sending a SMS text message to a simple IFFFT process. How we send the text messages automatically is patented, but using IFFFT is something that anyone can do. Re: RSS feed from SYSLOG - RACF messages
Not AF/OPER but many years ago I wrote an IOF rexx to send route code 9 to our security console, tso users. I don't have the code unfortunately, but I believe AF/OPER can perform the same function Carmen On 12/6/2021 9:15 AM, IBM user wrote: Has anyone implemented a feed from Syslog using RSS and AF/OPER? RSS feed from SYSLOG - RACF messages
Has anyone implemented a feed from Syslog using RSS and AF/OPER? The idea is to present RACF messages to our service desk so they can have immediate knowledge of users getting revoked, etc. I'm thinking I can write an exit program to use in AF/OPER that feeds RSS.
