I don't know if you are the upstream maintainer for ibus. Anyway, you might know who is since you are listed in the source code. When I installed ubuntu 14.10 today I got ibus-1.5.8-2ubuntu installed. It doesn't allow me to select Swedish svdvorak, even though it is in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/se. The attached patch fixes this problem. If it isn't integrated upstream, you can insert it. No need to mention my name if you don't feel like it. But it would be really nice if future releases of ibus would allow svdvorak by default.
