Re: [Ifolder-dev] Upgrade from 3.5 to 3.6

2007-08-06 Thread Tim Janzen

Hello,
Not sure if this helps (and maybe is a bad idea if you have data you
don't want to lose), but did you try ignoring the conflict? I just
installed the ifolder-server-svn-3.6 on a relatively fresh OpenSuse
10.2 and ran into a similar complaint. I installed mono via the yast
installation source linked off the download page at go-mono.com,
including mod_mono. When i installed Jan-Simon's ifolder server
rpm's, it complained about missing apache2-mod_mono. I did try
resolving it properly, but didn't find anything. I didn't have
anything to lose by ignoring the dependancy as it's a new server with
no data. So far it seems to work. Though if you have data you don't
want to lose, you may want to wait for a more informed opinion. ;-)

Okay so I found that an mod_mono is replaced by apache2-mod_mono.

Removing mod-mono requires me to remove my ifolder3-server-3.5
which is not an option
But apache2_mod-mono will not install on top of mod_mono due to
shared library and file conflicts.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi all,

I'm trying to upgrade my ifolder3 server from 3.5 to 3.6 on
SLES10SP1. I downloaded the updates and was able to update
everything except for the ifolder3-server-3.6 due to a missing
apache2_mod-mono dependency. I've searched everywhere for this rpm
but can't seem to locate one. Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: [Ifolder-dev] URIexception error -

2007-08-13 Thread Tim Janzen
Hi Paul,
I've run into what sounds like the same issue. I eventually got it working
by following the tip at
http://www.ifolder.com/index.php/HowTo:Fix_default_config
Solution A got me up and running (the better version). I believe the
packager (Jan-Simon) is still working with the devs on how to best package
it up to run the /usr/bin/simias-server-setup at the end of the rpm install,
which will hopefully eliminate these small issues. I suspect running
simias-server-setup will also resolve the issue, though I'm not certain.

Hopefully this will resolve all your issues (though I don't have an answer
for your libflaim question). The simias-server-setup script is the answer to
your #3.

Good luck,
Tim

Greetings - iFolder newbie - appreciative of this list ...

I have seen similar posts with no resolutions (that I could tell) - can
anyone point me in a direction for URI releated problems?

I am using the 10min test package on OpenSuSE 10.2 updated with the
Aug05 svns' (dl9pf was source per 10 min. test-setup doc)

 1. URIexception error
User=admin works can login to /localhost/admin
inside the ADMIN web consoleservers tab when choosing the [HOST1]
 server:
**error page contained inside admin console
   Error: UriFormatException
** start of error message ***
Server Version 1.5.7216.1 -- this is way wrong (!)
   HostName: [servername]
   MachineName: [servername]
   OS Version:Unix 2.6.18.8
   CLR Version: 1.1 ...

   Exception detail:

   Exception type: UriFormatException

Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined

   and so forth
   **end of error ***

 2. WebClient also throws UriExceptionError but then references
System.Web.Service.protocals.SoapException (also seen posts with no
resolution) when trying to log into ifolder web client (both admin user
and users created by admin user)
 3. Win-XP clients (3.6x) receive similar error when trying to connect to
 iFolder server

 Notes/Questions:

1.Libflaim upgrade produced a libflaim4.1.so conflict and offered to
delete simias or ignore - I chose ignore (?) and continued with libflaim
 4.9

 2. user 'admin' can login to localhost/admin and create users -
selecting [Host1] server produces above error

 3. Why is there no server config for this 10 min test? The
internal/external url are not optimum as listed in the admin console and
I suspect have a role in the URIexception ...

If we can not resolve we will be forced to abandon iFolder - please
 help.

 Thanks in advance ...

[Ifolder-dev] Mac intel ifolder build problems

2007-11-04 Thread Tim Janzen

Hello,
I'm trying to build the Mac iFolder 3.6 client. It's been a bit of a
struggle, but I'm hoping to be close to the end. I built simias from
svn 6977 (prior to gsoap updates), and ifolder client 6648. I'll skip
over the other steps it took to get this far to avoid a lengthy
email. The issue I have appears to be gsoap related. I used the
macosx-x86-2.7 gsoap version from the client to build simias (this
gsoap appears to be a special build by one of the earlier ifolder
devs for mac intel). Both simias and ifolder build ok. When I go to
run iFolder 3.app, it seems to launch ok, but I get exceptions in the
startup messages when I run the .app from the console

I'm unable to connect to an ifolder server (running on suse 10.3
which I can connect to from a linux client). Looking up soap error 29
points to version mismatch. I'm using the same gsoap for both simias
and ifolder. Anyone have any suggestions? I've also tried the latest
gsoap version for both client and server but there are numerous other
build issues on the client.

Re: [Ifolder-dev] clients

2007-11-13 Thread Tim Janzen

Hi Kalis,
I'm trying to build on Mac Intel. I've got Simias compiled, and the
iFolder UI compiled. However, I'm getting a soap exception during the
iFolderData refresh stage when I launch iFolder and am unable to
connect to the server (running on Linux). I'm using the same gsoap
version on both as far as I can tell, so I'm not sure what the issue
is. Simias is version 6977, along with the latest client, 6652. Below
is the output from the console

Justin,

The old Mac client might not work with the new server since the

Simias currently compiles for both Intel and PPC, the only issue is
to compile the Mac UI.

Re: [Ifolder-dev] iFolder Mac Client for PowerPC Macs?

2009-05-28 Thread Tim Janzen
The previous versions were built for PowerPC, so it should build with
a few tweaks to the current version. Unfortunately, I haven't been
able to build iFolder on 10.5 for Intel or PPC. It builds fine for me
on 10.4 Intel, but I don't currently have access to 10.4 ppc.

Has anyone been able to build iFolder 3.7 on Mac OS X 10.5?
