[Ilugc] AU-KBC/NRCFOSS : FOSS LAB SERVER reg.
Dear Friends, Recently AU-KBC/NRCFOSS have sent proposal to various colleges to establish FOSS Lab Server for conducting FOSS Lab CS2406 and it costs Rs. 20,000. On another hand, Mr. Bhaskar and team are doing it virtually free of cost for limited number systems and they would have established in more than 200 colleges. Do you think AU-KBC/NRCFOSS installation cost of FOSS Lab Server is worthy enough? Do they provide something more than the latter? Kindly give suggestions. with regards, Benedict J.N. ___ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc

[Ilugc] [ILugC] Zooming presentations on Linux
Hi, I'm not sure if this has been discussed in the list before. I was wondering if there was a zooming presentation editor/creator for Linux. There are web based solutions like Prezi. Re: [Ilugc] SET MYSQL ADMIN PASSWORD
14/Jul/2011 17:24:35 : SQL ADMIN VERIFICATION :- spawn mysql -u root -pATTEST Please be careful next time, when you copy-paste logs. My first word of advice would be to change the mysql root password immediately, even if you don't care about it right now, because they tend to come back and bite your *** later. I am no MySQL expert but I think you are facing authentication problems. By default, I have noticed mysql doesn't have any password for root, so you can try running mysql -u root to check if it is password protected. -- 0 ___ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
