Find out details about your system’s temperature 'sensors' works for me. This command may be work only at laptops :( -- sensors command will work on both desktops and laptops. It is one of the standard way to measure system temperature in GNU/Linux systems. For the sensors command to work you need to have the lm-sensors package installed.
