Re: [ilugd] VoIP situation
According to the Telegraphic Act 1883 and Telegraphic Wireless Act 1935, in Indian, all international calls should be routed through Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). You can make IP-based calls outside the country but it is not legal to make calls to a local PSTN or a cellular network using VoIP. But of course if you want you can do a PC to PC VoIP call even inside the country. That's completely legal. This is my first post on this mailing list. Since I have attended LinuxAsia 2004, I have been trying to learn Linux as much as possible and also helping other people in my area to move to Linux. To do more RD on Linux, it involves reading alot of documentation and online resources on the computer. This makes it very stressful for my eyes. So can anyone suggest some good text-to-speech softwares which have a more human like voice output. Because the most of which i have tried till now have a very computerised voice, which is not good enough to read out a book or anything like that. I thank in advance anyone who replies to my mail. Hi LL ya this sounds possible but would like to know what exactly it will require like an estimated number of PCs you are hoping for and will it be held on a Working or non working day. etc. All those professional questions u see ;) Regards Anindya yeah! that's our tenth volunteer for this project. way to go. looks like this is happening. anindya, since you work at pcqlabs, is it possible we set this up supercluster up at PCQlabs/cmil. they have all the necessary infrastructure to do this. and this kind of a closer interaction with the linux community would also be refreshing and synergetic. could you please ask your powers-that-be? wouldn't that be cool? ___ ilugd mailinglist -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://frodo.hserus.net/mailman/listinfo/ilugd Archives at: http://news.gmane.org/gmane.user-groups.linux.delhi http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
