Re: [efloraofindia:217296] Hooghly2015Mar01sk01 : Euphorbia what ?
Didi, It can't be *E. antiquorum* because 1) stem is not 3 angled, 2) number of cyathium as explained by Balakrishnan Sir in another thread https://groups.google.com/d/msg/indiantreepix/tbjRG5odVf0/NYKIzxeEAV8J. It's overall look, I think, rather similar to *E nivulia*. But then again number of cyathium per peduncle and prickle are problems I think. [efloraofindia:217330] trees to plant in a lake bed
Before the water level increases in monsoon, we want to plant tree saplings in the lake bed and on a couple of islands at the Puttenahalli Lake, J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru . Specifically we are looking for trees which can grow in water and on the islands to provide nesting, perching places for birds. Which are the suitable species ? Also, where in Bengaluru can we get these saplings? We are a small team of citizen caretakers of the lake, always low on funds since we maintain the lake with donations from well wishers. An early reply will be welcome.
