Some one can undertake a good study on this.
Prof. S.R.Yadav once reported that it mimics the bee and is pollinated by 
sexual deception. Although no one ever saw a bee pollinating this flower.
Dr. Alex Kocyan, a world renowned expert on the group said that there is no 
sexual deception in any of the Indian orchids including Cottonia.
There could be a nice PhD work on this.

These flowers are not as beautiful as visible in these pictures. They are
very minute and inconsoicuous.
They look beautiful only through macro camera lenses.
