Thank you Garg ji,
I do share your doubt. Not so much in leaves, but the sepals in our
flowers have needle like tips, which is missing in the BBP pic. The stamens
are also very different. Ten years back when I had tried to identify it,
not many images were available for comparison.
I would be happy to get the correct ID. Maybe it is *Rubus nepalensis*!

 Ceratostema silvicola : Neotropical Blueberries

My journey with Efloraofindia started on the 2nd of January, 2010.
For my Best Flora Photograph, I have chosen this image taken at the
Conservatory of Atlanta Botanical Garden, in Atlanta.
Ceratostema silvicola is found in the temperate cloud forests of
 Ecuador in South America.
During my visit to Atlanta in October 2018, my close friend insisted
that we must visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden, knowing my love for
 flowers and plants.
This was my first experience of visiting such a huge botanical garden
 and seeing a Conservatory.
All the plants and flowers were new to me.
I have never seen so many new ones in a single day.
It was and will always be a very unique one.

[efloraofindia:424092] Fragaria (Rosaceae) page with comparative images

2022-05-28 Thread J.M. Garg
Pl. go through‎ *Fragaria *
(*Rosaceae*) page with comparative images of species in efloraofindia. On
clicking the link of species, one can check the complete details. Genus
pages generally give details of most of the species found in India.
I request you to pl. go through & point out mistakes, if any. I hope this
will aid in identification in future. If anybody can send images of other
species of this genus (for incorporation in the website), if any, or can
identify unidentified images, it will be really nice. Pl. circulate it
widely, for the benefit of all concerned.

Wild Raspberry from Tawang, A.P. I think Susmitaji had sent a Photo
of Wid Raspberry from Lava. It is a Rubus species. The european
species is R. idaeus, the american one is a sub-species of idaeus.
There is an arctic species also. This pic is from 11000 ft. The
species i.d. is requested.

Sorry but the leaf shape looks completely wrong for Carpinus

Veins and leaf edges are different in Hornbeam.
