Dear members, Catalogue of life <http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/40ef2ac0db2f2a41e90981a26b57c07a> gives three subspecies of *Misopates orontium *(L.) Raf. *Misopates orontium *subsp. *orontium* <http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/a42c0916ee84a0211fe4cc818213564a> does not have any distribution in India, while only *Misopates orontium * subsp. *gibbosum* (Wall.) D.A.Sutton <http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/d0c4433eddfa75362c19ef160c7fae59>has distribution in India. Checklist of Nepal <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=220008659> mentions only *Antirrhinum* *gibbosum* Wall. <http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=110&taxon_id=242420438> as a syn. of *Misopates orontium* (L.) Raf. So our plant in India should be *Misopates orontium *subsp. *gibbosum* (Wall.) D.A.Sutton <http://www.catalogueoflife.org/col/details/species/id/d0c4433eddfa75362c19ef160c7fae59>as per synonyms herein. -- With regards, J.M.Garg
