if not yet done, i would recommend to read this (depending from if you use 2.x

Archive over NFS.

Hi everyone.

I would like to know if it's possible to put the archive partition over
NFS.

Same question about "DELETED", for example can I make

  /MAIL_BOX_DIR/DELETED as a mountpoint for a NFS partition.

If it's yes do I have to take extra precaution about the something (sync,
async, etc..)

Currently I'm trying to use replication to do the backup.

When it's working, I would like to know ... how to use the backup.

The question maybe sound totaly stupid, but well, with dovecot I know how
to use the backup. But with cyrus imap ... I don't know.

Three cases :

  1/ What should I do if someone loose a mail and warn me long after delayed
  delete time. But If I got the file on the backup (cheat disk so can keep
  the much longer deleted mail).

  2/ What should I do if I got a corruption a database, how should I fix
  that with the backup.

  3/ What should I do if my server loose everything.

[Murder issue] Connection closed

Hello,

I'm currently trying to setup a running murder Cyrus configuration.

I'm using a frontend (which is also the master mupdate) and a backend.
Imapd process seems ok, i'm able to connect and authenticate.

But, I have an issue with mupdate part.
It's running on the frontend/master side, but I can't connect from the
backend (trying with ctl_mboxlist or even mupdatetest).

mupdatetest can authenticate with the murder user but immediatly closed
the connection (I can't run any command).
