Hey Tomasz!

Not sure, probably just a copy and paste error, but I'll recheck the format
before sending it next week - thanks for the feedback :)

Also my apologies for a closed link contained in the update - I send these
updates to both internal and external mailing list and that one was for
internal audiences only.

It was an internal update on CentOS Streams and contained information that
has been openly discussed on the lists already, so if you follow them, you
are already in the know :)

Apologies for the erroneous linking, and any weird formatting from todays
update email - will triple check them before sending next week!

Have a great weekend,
Aoife

Let us go with the patch as is. Then let us put in for a Fedora
Hackday where we re-engineer some playbooks to do this new method?

2019-10-18 Thread Aoife Moloney
Hi everyone,

Welcome to the CPE team weekly project update mail!

*Background:** The Community Platform Engineering group is the Red Hat team
combining IT and release engineering from Fedora and CentOS. Our goal is to
keep core servers and services running and maintained, build releases, and
other strategic tasks that need more dedicated time than volunteers can
give.*

*For better communication, we will be giving weekly reports to the CentOS
and Fedora communities about the general tasks and work being done. *

Hey Adrian!

I am not sure that I have used the technique I describe in this Ansible
project, but I have been using it in some other Ansible projects I work
on. Unfortunately, none are public at the moment.

Sure, I'm not opposed to the patch as-is, just a suggestion for
improvement.

Thanks for that recommendation. Can you point me to a place in ansible
where you are using this? For this FBR I would rather not change it and
go with the current solution. The goal is to completely remove the
conditionals because it either works (everything uses the new approach)
or it does not work at all (keep on using the current approach). If we
would actually go the way to slowly switch more proxies one after
another I would change the conditionals to how you described it. For now
I would rather try it the way I currently have it.
