Re: [Inkscape-docs] [Inkscape-translator] Website / Wiki: Release translations

2017-01-04 Thread Maren Hachmann
Hi everyone (including docs list website editors),

okay, so the release is out :)

What's problematic currently because of all the people visiting the
website is the website performance. I've found that editing doesn't work
for me, and publishing trials end up in server nirvana.

I'll wait with making any further changes until it's calmer, maybe at
night, when website traffic is low (I've gotten a couple of new shield
images from Jabier). Or, if that doesn't suffice, then maybe a couple of
days later.

Next time, we should probably ask for a couple of additional days, so we
have some time to prepare the website properly before the visitors DDOS
the site ;-)

Kind Regards,
 Maren

Re: [Inkscape-docs] Website, Debugging updated: Publish?

2017-01-04 Thread Maren Hachmann
Thanks, Martin. Because of current website load, I'll wait a bit before
I push the publish button. It doesn't work too well currently :/

It should be live, sorry for the confusion.

Re: [Inkscape-docs] Update "Video Tutorials" section in website

2017-01-04 Thread Martin Owens
Hi Guys,

I've been sick (and still am) so I'm trying to follow this thread as
best I can, if you still have questions, you can ask me like this: "A
question for Martin: Blah blah blah" and I'll hopefully see it.

I agree and would like to see the page replaced.

The idea of video embedding is really to collect resources and empower
non-admins to add content. Tutorial videos or svg images, the only
extra for videos is that they are links to a video site with a
thumbnail instead of the actual video file.

> But maybe that would be going too far?

Nope, well within reason.

Best Regards, Martin Owens
