i'm currently testing this workaround:

is it possible that this bug is caused outside of the gfx driver?
my newest theory is, that my hard disc forgot to flush its write cache before 
power off... :-)

 Suspend to disk is known to sometimes corrupt memory when kernel mode
 setting is used. Eugeni is trying to track this one down, cc'ed.
