Hi Debao
I know how to use qt.conf to point my app at the qt libs but not how to use it 
to point to the other libraries that my app uses
Have I missed the point or is there some other way

Other libraries have their mechanisms. Please read the documentation that
comes with those libraries to find out how to configure them.
