[IM-Talk] Re: InterMapper-Talk Digest - 10/10/05

2005-10-10 Thread Jason Mader
One feature on the charts that I wish to see is that the Logarithm
chart is to Base 10 and not a natural logarithm. Base 10 is so much
more meaningful on a network.

One feature I miss with the graphs - is to be able to make them
'relative' so to speak.

Good point. Check out the InterMapper 4.4 beta at:

http://www.intermapper.com/binaries/beta.html

InterMapper 4.4 will display the base-10 log scale, showing as many dividers as
you have specified.

Example: Set Upper Bound to 300,000, lower bound to 300, and set dividers to 4.
This gives dividers labeled as 30, 3, 3000, and 300.

Please get back to me if you have further questions. Thanks.

The logarithmic scale for strip charts has always been base-10, and
not ln.

What is the behavior that you are seeing, and how does it differ from
what you expected to see?

[IM-Talk] InterMapper 4.4b3 Available

2005-10-10 Thread Richard E. Brown
Folks:

If you haven't taken a moment to try it out our latest test version of
InterMapper, this would be a good chance. It is in its final form, except for a
number of small fixes over earlier beta-test releases. You can find the full
list of new features listed at this page.

 http://www.intermapper.com/im44.html

SOFTWARE STATUS

This is a beta-test version. We have implemented all the features we expect to
add in this release. The software is definitely usable for test environments,
but we don't recommend you use it as your production server yet.

At this stage, we think we have a pretty strong release. Please try it out - we
think you'll be pleased.

[IM-Talk] Importing/Exporting Map Data

2005-10-10 Thread Mike Bramm
I'm trying to export/import map data from IM 4.2 running on Linux to IM
4.3 on Linux using IM-Remote. I get an error message 40 file skipped
when in import the exported data. Has anyone else needed to do this?
