· Our client has implemented a pilot SharePoint document management
program with very positive results. The pilot included both
design-bid-build and design-build projects and was initiated in a
SharePoint 2010 environment hosted by a third party using “out of the box”
functionality of SharePoint supplemented with InfoPath forms and custom
workflows using SharePoint Designer. The pilot projects are Bridge and
Highway construction projects that the client Highway Division is managing.
Contractors and Project designers are part of the pilot projects as well
and use the SharePoint sites. Each project (Contract) was built and worked
within its own site collection. Focus was placed on centralizing the
project documentation, capturing data about those documents for processing,
tracking and long term management, and standardizing both data and
processes across projects. With the success of the pilot, the client
continues to grow their implementation. New project implementations are
moving to SharePoint 2013, and the client is now ready to take their
program to the next level by using the enterprise reporting capabilities
that are now available. As such, the client would like to add a
Data/Reporting Analyst to the SharePoint team that will help them to
realize the power of the data they are collecting across projects (site
collections) by utilizing enterprise reporting tools such as SSRS,
SharePoint content search functions, etc. for business intelligence
creating cross project reports, dashboards and other management tools.

· Currently, there are 20 projects using the SharePoint system, and
the client’s plans to expand the program to approximately 300 projects
using this platform. However, a key success factor in this growth is our
ability to enable enterprise functionality to the program. A key success
factor in enabling enterprise functionality is our ability to view and
report data across projects.

- Work with the IT Data Stewards to document, implement and maintain the
metadata and business rules for the bank’s Master data

- Work with IT Data Stewards, map data from multiple source systems to the
target Master Data Management solution architecture

- Document results of data profiling against multiple sources

- Monitor the quality of data and mapping from multiple source systems

- Develop metrics and reporting requirements for ongoing monitoring of the
bank’s data.

- Document, prioritize and update data quality related issues; work closely
with business and technology representatives to have them resolved.

- Assist the technology teams in the identification of data not found
within the bank’s primary systems.

- Provide status to the data management lead as well as manage and escalate
issues.

- Perform other duties as assigned.



*Qualifications *

Required Education or Equivalent Experience

- 5-7 years of experience in a data analysis role

- 2 or more years of experience in data profiling

- Strong knowledge of business data within a banking organization.

- Prior experience in the financial industry is highly desirable,

We are currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst (SA) is responsible for
multiple roles in the UCOP System Development Life Cycle.  At all stages of
the project the SA must manage the project plan and interact with the end
business users, management stake holders, the Data Service team of ETL
developers, data modelers, data architects and report developers.

1. Business Requirements Document (BRD)

a. Create the BRD in conjunction with the business users OR

b. Participate in the requirements sessions when the  business is
responsible for creating the BRD OR

c. Review and provide BRD updates when the business is solely
responsible for creating the BRD

2. Conduct extensive data analysis on the source data specified in
the BRD and share the results with business users, identify impacts and
provide updates to the BRD.  Data analysis is conducted for each step. The
data analysis requires the creation of SQL queries in a DB2 platform. Very
comfortable working in a Data warehouse environment

3. Create a Functional Specification (such as, data flow diagrams,
narrative type specification, presentation) and review with Data Services
Team

4. Create or participate in the data model design for all three
Decision Support Environments:

a. The STAGE environment contains the raw source data tables

b. The BASE environment contains the transformed data in normalized
or semi-normalized tables

c. The Business Intelligence (BI) environment contains the Star
Schema (Fact tables and Dimensions) the business user will use for
reporting.

5. Create the ETL specification for each environment and review
with the Data Services Team

6. Monitor the ETL development progress and verify and identify
issues with the resultant data loads as they progress through the three
environments.   This requires extensive interaction with the ETL developer
and in some case with the rest of the Data Service team.

7. Work with the report developer in the creation of the business
reports

8. Sign-off on the ETL development help the business user with User
Acceptance Testing (UAT).
