Some stations due break from normal format to run a weekly oldies program, but usually on Fri or Sat and not usually from sports stations since there's lots to talk about after a weekend of games. I'd suspect Windsor, although perhaps KANA is possible in MN (never heard it here in IL, but am rather far from Western MT and WIBW is nasty on 580 at night). I'll point out to all here, when they hear something on a channel that they are unsure of and want help from others as to what they might have. That is to also mention what else is on the usually on the frequency..ie if WKTY is the regular, was it heard? Sometimes the unID is a regular with a suddenly different format or program. Folks, I'll be going in to hospital tomorrow (Tuesday) for an angiogram. After a series of tests last week (I didn't pass), this is the next step. There is a portion of my heart that is in question. and I've been feeling very weak for the last week or so. We try hard... we are locally owned, and try to be as local as we can with what we have within the confines of our programming and staffing. We're pretty easy to pick out of the mush. I'm glad to know others can hear us at a distance. Our NOrth/South Pattern is pretty potent. I have had four angiograms in the last eight years, two leading to stents in arteries leading to my heart. My stress tests have shown some blood flow problems in one of the chambers, but the last two stress tests have shown no new problems. I visit my heart doctor quarterly; the stress tests used to be every 12 months but now they come in 14-month gaps. I've never had a heart pain. I still consider myself to be in preventive mode, and, at age 75, in far better shape than I really have a right to be. My wife had her first angiogram last month after the stress test gave a clue to a problem, but her blockage was not bad enough to require a stent. She did not have to spend overnight time in the hospital. My hope is that your situation is no worse than ours. My mother lived to age 99, and I have no reason to believe that I can't duplicate her span. Janice's mother lived to 95. Qal R. [IRCA] Surprise local station change-over
I've enjoyed listening to KPIG-1510 on Sunday morning during my 20 minute drive to church. Yesterday 8/15 I turned the radio on only to greeted my a woman in Chinese. Finally at ID time they gave an ID that included two or three time pips and then 'This is KSFN Piedmont-San Francisco'. I hadn't heard anything about KPIG dumping their S.F. area relay but it certainly appears that they have. Anyone else hear about this? Too bad because I believe they charge $7 a month to listen on the internet.
