WHLY was dominant from 2250 on, but the oldies I was hearing I assumed was CKDO. It's OK, I was spending more time tracking new Canadian DTV signals. A new month. LWBC better this morning. [IRCA] Alberta TA traces
Inspired by Nick's recent reports I thought I'd check for TA carriers tonight, and indeed have found quite a few. None are threatening to turn into audio, but 1215 and 1377 have been very noticeable carriers. A quick scan just now (0400 UTC) also showed weaker ones on 693, 855,864,909,927,0144,1107,1116,1206, and 1422. 73, Nigel Pimblett Dunmore, Alberta ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
[IRCA] Alberta TPs for 1 Sep 2011
Some promising early-season reception this morning. First audio of the season on 1566 from Korea, and also traces from the off-freq Chinese on 1206. Add audio from Japan on 774 and Australia on 1116, and that made for the most TP/DU audio observed thus far. This was all in the 1200-1215 time frame.
Re: [IRCA] Alberta TA traces; BC too
A quick check at 0435UT here yielded the strongest 1215 carrier heard yet, in fact I thought there should have been audio, but not while I listened. 1053 was the next strongest, and the rest were quite weak: 783, 855, 864, 909, 927, 1008, 1107, 1116, 1206 and 1377. Unfortunately, I had a couple of other things on the go around the house, and by 0450UT recheck, things had faded quite a lot. Maybe starting to listen at local sunset tomorrow would be a good idea if conditions hold up. best wishes, Nick At 04:15 02-09-11, you wrote: Inspired by Nick's recent reports I thought I'd check for TA carriers tonight, and indeed have found quite a few.
