Conditions down from yesterday morning. Started listening at 1115 utc and first MW station show up at 1303 around a half hour before sunrise. Lesson learned, start listening for TP's 1/2 hour before sunrise. 153 RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1115-1125 good signal with man in Russian followed by music. 209 ALASKA, Juneau 1225 fair signal with weather. 180 RUSSIA, Radio |Rossii 1126 poor - weak signal with man in Russian. 279 RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1128 weak signal with man in Russian. Good 1221 with music. 594 JAPAN, JOAK NHK 1 1317 weak signal with splatter. 774 JAPAN, JOUB NHK 2 1303 fair signal at best with man in Japanese, splatter from KOH Reno not KTTH Seattle. 828 JAPAN, JOBB NHK 2 1304 good signal and some splatter with man in Japanese. 1008 UNKNOWN 1305-1310 poor signal with man talking in ? 1053 REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1319 jammer atop channel with fair signal. 1566 REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1312 weak to fair signal with woman in Japanese. [IRCA] KPTQ 1280 Spokane Wa
Pre LSS skip at 19:00 PDT last evening on 1280 brought in some CW music and an ID at KPTQ Spokane Wa. They used to be progressive talk so I wonder how long they have been doing country and why they would buck the trend of usually changing from music to talk. Hi Bill, I think Spokane's 1280 has been country for 3 or 4 weeks.
