[IRCA] Albuquerque convention
Hi Everyone: I'm now back home from the convention, arriving here around 5.pm MDT yesterday. Flight from Albuquerque to Denver was very rough at times. Stayed Monday night in Edmonton and drove home yesterday afternoon after doing some shopping. Now I can receive IRCA messages again as I had shut them down before leaving. Thanks to Mike and Bob for hosting a great convention. I had a great time. Nice to meet up with all my radio friends again, and add some new faces to old names. Thanks to Bob for putting all those pictures on the IRCA website. Hope I can make it to Seaside next year. Thanks again to everyone involved. Re: [IRCA] Albuquerque convention
Mike, Glad you made it home fine. Yes, getting out of Albuquerque towards Portland was a bit rough at times too. Those T storms can bounce a plane around a bit. Great to see you again too. Hope you can make Seaside next September. Got back to hot weather here with a high of 92 in Astoria and I am still stuck with the powerline noise. I cannot get it fixed until the PPL radio guy gets back from his extended vacation. The noise goes when there in fog and rain though. But nice weather for another week. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin KGED QSL Manager ___ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com

Re: [IRCA] Albuquerque convention
'Hope that you get that noise problem fixed so you can experience some fun DX. I'm on a break right now from set construction on our upcoming show. Some of the pieces are 20 feet tall. This one's a monster. I hit a couple thunderstorms driving home just before FlagstaffThe radiator hose broke in Kingman but I fixed it and got home in one piece. I'm glad that I got to bring the convention to yet another new state. Again, for Seaside, I will plead, if you can get the third weekend in September I'd greatly appreciate it. That will guarantee that I can come. I'll use some frequent flyer miles and take Alaska Airlines from Long Beach to Portland round trip. I'm dying to visit GIRTLES again. Best wishesMike S.
