India is very likely, even on an ultralight, from NF. I believe Saul Chernos and Chuck Hutton nabbed this one on their barefoot ultralights a few years ago. I had no ultralight to play with, but it was coming in fine on my Drake while they went outside trying to make the whip work its magic. But I enjoy that kind of music, within moderation of course, and hearing them at will was a nice treat. And yes there was not much talk heard. Actually there was just a very few signals of 'usable' level then, for me, and some of the louder ones were in Chinese. In the meantime there's always shopping at Patel Bros. grocery on East Fowler Ave in Tampa but their PA system plays Indian pop mx and not so much of the classical style you might hear from Nagpur. Hello To All, A Very interesting and rewarding DX Session this evening as a return trip was made to Ladie's Lookout on Signal Hill. Braving the elements at 5 Degrees Celcius and later on 3 Degrees, the second DX session this week began from high above the Atlantic Ocean at around 19:55 UTC until 21:05 UTC. Conditions seemed very good throughout the session and once again many stations were heard. The Spanish stations seemed to dominate in numbers however most of the stations listed on the logs had remarkable strength and were readable at so called armchair length. A couple of surprises awaited as the 702 outlet from Monaco was a new station as well as a new country for the ULR log. The biggest surprise occured at 20:15 UTC while monitoring 1566 khz a signal rose up while Benin in French was already occupying the channel.
