[IRCA] TAs heard
Hi Group: Plenty of TA carriers heard here across the band. Some had audio, tho many were too faint to ID. A few were a little stronger so I was able to ID them. The UK on 1053 and 1215, France on 1557 and 1377, Croatia 1134, Egypt on 819 and 774. 774 was parallel to 819 and new here. Nothing on LW. First good TA opening heard here in more than a year. All signals were heard on both EWEs. [IRCA] TAs heard in Michigan
Well, ok, not on MW but I did hear the following on longwave: 151 Unid. 1/24/09 0518 talk in ?? language 162 Unid. 1/24/09 0516 talk in ?? language 171 Unid (Russia presumed) 1/24/09 0515 talk 183 Saarlouis Germany 1/24/09 0455 - 0515 Music, news by YL, talk by OM, by far, the strongest of the four. These were all heard with my Icom 718 using a halfwave 40 meter inverted V antenna. The following carriers are being heard now at 04:15 UTC in Victoria: 1467 - 3 1449 - 2 1395 - 4 1377 - 4 1368 -1 1341 - 2 1269 - 4 1251 - 3 1215 - 6 to 7 1107 - 4 1008 - 1 927 - 2 864 - 2 765 - 3 756 - 3 747 - 2 738 - 5 (Tahiti) 729 - 2 711 - 2 675 - 1 639 - 4 567 - 4 All of these were heard using my K9AY aimed north across the pole with my AOR 7030+. I did note that on SW, Radio Ukraine International strong with S9 + 10 strength in English now (03:30) on 7440.quite unusual..Walt Salmaniw, Victoria, BC -- No virus found in this outgoing message. As of 0430 UTC I can hear a good HET on the R8 on 1215khz.
