Re: [IslamCity] DAJJAL BUSH REGIME STRANGLES 3 MUJAHIDEEN IN TORTURE CAMP

2006-06-14 Thread Prathiba Sundaram

World community should demand death to the International Terrorist Bush.Hundreds of Thousands of human beings are dreaming the death of the Evil.[EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: DAJJAL BUSH REGIME STRANGLES 3 MUJAHIDEEN IN TORTURE CAMPAssalamu aleikum. In the US, the murder and subsequent coverup of inmates deaths bypolice has long been an art form. The Guantanamo Bay torture camp, which has been condemned even by the UN, is certainly no exception tothis rule. The three victims whom the Bush regime ordered murderedwere naturally close eyewitnesses to the torture of other victims overthe past several years in the infamous "Camp 1", and to attacks on theHoly Qur'an. Their release would have led to further unfavorablepublicity. Now the eyewitnesses are dead, supposed
victims of"suicide". All three. At once. The notion that 3 torture victims in the most "secure" part of thetorture camp had the means to commit suicide is absurd. They were thefirst reported deaths among the suspected terrorists held at the basein Cuba for up to 4 1/2 years without being charged. Two men from Saudi Arabia and one from Yemen were found "unresponsiveand not breathing in their cells" early Saturday, according to astatement from the Miami-based U.S. Southern Command, which hasjurisdiction over the prison. Attempts were made to revive
theprisoners, but failed. One defense official, who requested anonymity because the details hadnot been made public yet, said that initial reports were that two ofthe detainees hanged themselves while the third suffocated or chokedhimself.Pentagon officials said the three men were in Camp 1, the highestmaximum security prison at Guantanamo, and that none of them had triedto commit suicide before. That camp was also the location where twodetainees tried to commit suicide in mid-May, when a riot broke out atthe facility. The two men, who took overdoses of an anti-anxietymedication they hoarded, were found and received medical treatment andwere recovering. The United States is holding about 460 men on suspicion of links toal-Qaida and the Taliban at Guantanamo Bay, which has become a soresubject between President Bush and U.S. allies who otherwise arestaunch supporters of his policies. The
Defense Department's U.S. Southern Command in Miami, and thedetention center's commander, Navy Rear Adm. Harry B. Muhammad ischarged with conspiring with Osama bin Laden and other al-Qaidaleaders to attack civilians and commit other crimes.Bush, spending the weekend at Camp David, was notified of theincident. The State Department was consulting with the governments ofthe home countries of the three prisoners, whose names were not released. The military said in its statement that "all lifesaving measures hadbeen exhausted" in the attempt to revive the detainees. The remainswere being treated "with the utmost respect," an issue important toMuslims. A cultural adviser was assisting the military.Though the military termed the deaths
suicides, the Naval CriminalInvestigative Service was investigating to establish the officialcause and manner of death.A U.N. panel said May 19 that holding detainees indefinitely atGuantanamo violated the world's ban on torture. The panel said theUnited States should close the detention center.German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Danish Prime Minister Anders FoghRasmussen and British Prime Minister Tony Blair are among those whoalso recently have urged the United States to close the prison. On Friday, after the prison came up during a meeting with FoghRasmussen at Camp David, Bush said his goal is to do just that. Atotal of 759 detainees have been held there, with about 300 releasedor transferred."We would like to end the Guantanamo - we'd like it to be empty," Bushsaid. But he added: "There are some that, if put out on the streets, would create grave harm to American citizens and other citizens of
theworld. And, therefore, I believe they ought to be tried in courts herein the United States."Bush said his administration was waiting for the Supreme Court to rulewhether he overstepped his authority in ordering the detainees to betried by U.S. military tribunals. The military's statement defended the prison, saying detainees pose adanger to the United States and its allies."They have expressed a commitment to kill Americans and our friends ifreleased," the statement said. [IslamCity] Origins of SHIRK Fundamentals of TAWHEED [Final Part]

2006-06-14 Thread Ala'uddin Al-Athary

ORIGINS OFSHIRK FUNDAMENTALS OF TAWHEED -Part III of IIISheikh Sayyid Ahmed Saeed Al-Kazmee ANSWER This doubt, in fact, has only been created, for we have merely considered Man to be a combination of flesh and bones. This manner of thinking is indeed incorrect, for the essence of man is not flesh and bones, rather it is the soul. The soul, unlike the flesh and bones, never dies. If we accept that his soul will die, then how will thesoul experience the punishment and reward
within the grave? Describing the condition within the grave, the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam) has stated that thegrave is sometimes a Garden of Paradise and sometimes a Pit of Hell. We, therefore logically ask; for who is thisgrave, sometimes a Pit of Helland sometimes a Garden of Paradise? It is, withouta doubt, for the soul which is still alive. The soul always has a connection with the body even if the body, described as the rays of the sun, even though it may manifest itself on a heap of sand, on a tree or on the roof of a house, it still has a relationship with the sun. So, we judge from this that the essence of man is the soul, it is this which enables him to assist us in times of need and anxiety. Another query that seems to confuse people is; how is it that we cannot see the punishment or reward experienced by the body or the soul? The answer to this is simple. The happenings of thegrave are
being experienced within the Aalam-ul-Barzakh, a world in itself which means, "The Screened World." A logical explanation of this would be that if a person complains about a headache and although the pain he or sheis experiencing is an absolute reality, we cannot perceive it or even comprehend it simply because the pain is screened from our eyes. Similarly, punishment and reward is experienced within the grave. Another example would be of a person dreaming. Althoughonemay be seeing himself or herselfburning, we cannot see the burningneither receivingof a gift, for the simple reason thatthe person's life in that context is screened from our eyes.THE SQUEEZING OF THE GRAVE It is reported in the Ahadeeth that whena person is placed within the grave, the grave squeezes the body of the burried, bethe person beMuslim ora non-Muslim. The earth could be described as
"the mother", foraperson whohas been created from sand. Therefore, it stands to reason that all will return to her. Some of her children who have adopted piety and abstinence, she will be welcoming and will be receivedagreeably. Those, on the other hand, who have adopted disgraceful behaviour and dishonour, she will receive them, butnot welcome them, rather to punish them. This example clearly describes how a Muslim and non-Muslim will be treated in the grave. It will welcome the Muslim as a mother nurturing her child, while she will squeeze the disbeliever tillthe ribs appear on opposite sides. This illustrates that the soul never dies and that the reward or punishment within the grave is a reality. Let us return to the discussion describing the magnificent attributes possessed by the beloved slaves of Allaah (swt). Having proven thattheir soul and body still possesses these attributes, it means thatthey
can still assist us, traverse miles on end, listen and see things far and near. When they can still do these things with the Permission of Allaah (swt), then how can any sane person term it as being as Shirk if we ask them to assist us? In Al-Tirmidhee, Abd’allaah Ibn Abbaas (radi Allaahu anhu) narrates that a Sahabee once pitched his tent on a plot of ground without realizing that he was doing so over a grave. After a while, he realized that his tent was over a grave for he could hear the recital of the Surah Al-Mulk. He related the entire episode to the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam), who replied that the recital of Surah Al-Mulk indeed assists the person within the grave and protects from pain and punishment. From this episode, we see that the beloved servants of Allaah (swt) are still alive within their graves, or else the Holy Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa aalihi wa sallam) would have merely disregarded the entire incident. But
he did not do so. Rather, he commented on the excellences of the Surah Al-Mulk, which means that he also accepted that the beloved servants of Allaah (swt) are still alive within their graves. Let us relate another incident from the period of the companions. It is recorded that during the dictatorial reign of Muawwiyah Ibn Abee Sufyaan Al-Ummayyadee, whose mother was the infamous Hindaa andthe beloved son was Yazeed, who later illegitimately succeededhim.A canal was dug between Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madeenah Al-Munawwarah. Co-incidentally, the canal passed through that plot of land where the Shuhadaa (Martyrs) of Uhud lay buried. A person while digging accidentally cut the foot of a Shaheed with a spade. As a result of this, blood began to flow from the blessed foot. We learn from this incident

and inheritance of an organized army, yet his exceptional bravery and brilliance made him a matchless general who, at the age of 17, not only defeated the most powerful Hindu rajas but was the first one to establish the Islamic rule in Sindh. History fails to offer a parallel example to him.Born in a middle-class family of Taif, Mohammad bin Qasim was still a child when his father died. His mother sent him to her sister, wife of Hajjaj bin Yousif, who stayed in the same city. Hajjaj was a teacher, but Due to his strong inclination toward politics and military matters, he eventually ended up as the governor of Iraq.Hajjaj loved his nephew Imaduddin Mohammad bin Qasim for his extraordinary abilities, and believed that he would make a great general. He, therefore, took Qasim with him in each battle to train him in warfare tactics. Mohammad bin Qasim proved to be a worthy student, and, as a token of appreciation, Hajjaj married his daughter to
him. From the period of Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (634-645 AD), the second caliph of Islam, to that of Umayyad Caliph Abdul Malak bin Marwan (686-705), several attempts were made to conquer Sindh, but no substantial victory was achieved. When Walid bin Abdul Malak (705-715) took over, whose period is documented as the most successful one, politically and militarily, the victories took new dimensions and the Islamic rule expanded as far as China and Europe. By this time Hajjaj bin Yousif had proved himself a ruthless warrior. He was asked by the Caliph to send an expedition under the command of Ubaidullah bin Nubhan to invade Sindh. But Ubaidullah also could not succeed. Soon after, an unfortunate incident took place that changed the history of Sindh.A ship going to Basra and carrying families of the Arab merchants, who had settled in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) for trading, was ambushed by Sindhi pirates near the city of Debal (Karachi and the island
of Manora were called Debal in those days). All the passengers were made prisoners, and the precious gifts sent by the Raja of Sri Lanka for the Caliph in Baghdad were also looted. The captured prisoners somehow sent a message to Hajjaj for help. At that time, a very powerful and arrogant Brahmin raja, Dahir, who had succeeded his father, Chach (632-670), ruled Sindh. Hajjaj asked him to release the Arab families and return the gifts, but he refused. Infuriated, Hajjaj called his young nephew Mohammad bin Qasim, who by then had been appointed the ruler of Faris, and sent him to attack Sindh in 711, with 6,000 well-trained soldiers and sophisticated war equipment. The people of Debal could not stand the onslaught of the powerful army of Mohammad bin Qasim and locked themselves in the city fort. After several days of siege and manoeuvring, the Arab army broke in and captured the fort. As soon as the city fell, the local administration and officials
ran away, leaving the people at the mercy of the invaders. Qasim, however, treated the locals very well and as a result, they cooperated with him. They even acclaimed him as their liberator from Brahmin tyranny, under which they had been suffering for years. As the Muslim army started moving toward the interior, along the River Sindh, the cities after cities surrendered and then finally they reached the city of Niron (now called Hyderabad in Pakistan) to confront Raja Dahir, who came with forty thousand soldiers and a large number of elephants. Raja Dahir fought bravely but was defeated and killed. All the Arab prisoners were released and safely transported to Iraq.Mohammad bin Qasim’s advance continued. After conquering several cities on the way, he reached Multan where, by defeating Raja Gor Singh, he found a great treasure of gold. It is generally believed that Mohammad bin Qasim conquered areas only up to Multan, which is wrong.
Historical evidences show that he almost reached Kashmir, conquering almost the entire Pakistan which, at that time, was considered as a part of Sindh.Mohammad bin Qasim was a young man of great qualities who not only conquered Sindh but established there the foundation of the Islamic rule as well. Raja Dahir and other ruling rajas in the area were luxury-loving and tyrant. The people hated them but could not rise against them due to their power. Qasim never forced the local Hindus to embrace Islam but his commendable character, efficient administration and Islamic system of law and justice impressed and inspired them

[IslamCity] A Concise History of the Holy Land

2006-06-14 Thread Curtis Sharif

Bismillah, FYI Peace, Curtis Sharif Houston, TexasThe story of the Promised Land by Khalil Zafar Courtesy:http://www.d Posted by: "Abdul Wahid Osman Belal" abdulwahidosmanbelal
Sat Jun10,2006 8:28pm (PST) June 04, 2006 The story of the Promised LandBy Khalil Zafar Palestine has been the bone of contention between Muslims and Zionists for over a century now. The great land of Palestine has seen prophets, disbelievers, wars, bloodshed over the course of time. There are many people who argue about its history and whom the ‘promised land’ belongs to. Recently, the Iranian President even said that Israel should be wiped off from the map of the world. The sources through which history of Palestine can be learned are mostly altered, like the Bible. The only authentic source is the Holy Quran. Here an attempt will be made to analyse the history of Palestine from the origin of Israeli people till the end of holocaust and assembling of Jews.Majority of the prophets God sent lived in the holy land of Palestine. According to
Archeological excavation and Quranic studies, Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH), his son Ismael and a small number of people were the first to migrate to Palestine, which was at that time called Cannan, around 19th century BC. Many commentators of the Holy Quran believe that Prophet Ibrahim, who migrated with Prophet Lut, lived in area (Hebron), nowadays called Al-Khalil.“We delivered both him (Ibrahim) and Lut the land which We had blessed for all beings” (Quran 21:71).This verse indicates that the blessed land was not for Jews alone but for all beings, including Muslims and Christians. After this migration, Prophet Yaqub, son of Prophet Ishaaq emigrated to Egypt during the royal appointment of his beloved son Prophet Yusuf, who, after his release from prison, was appointed as the head of Egyptian treasury. Prophet Yaqub’s sons are also known as “Children Of Israel”.For a long time Children of Israel lived in peace and security in Egypt. After Pharaoh became
the king, he treated them harshly. God then sent Prophet Musa, who was ordered to lead them out of Egypt. Initially, Pharaoh enslaved Israelis, but, with the help of Prophet Musa, the Children of Israel fled Egypt with the help of God’s miracle in which pharaoh was drowned in the sea along his army.Around 1250BC, the Children of Israel settled in Sinai Peninsula and in eastern Cannan. After they assembled in the Holy Land on God’s Orders, Prophet Dawud became the king and his son Prophet Sulayman extended borders of their land from River Nile in the south to the River Euphrates in the north. After the death of Prophet Sulayman, a number of prophets were sent to the Children of Israel but they did not listen to him and rebelled against God.Due to their degeneracy Children of Israel, also known as Jews were once again enslaved and their kingdom was occupied by various idolaters. When Palestine was occupied by the Roman Empire, God sent Prophet Isa (Jesus) to
their rescue but very few believed in him. God plagued the Jews with the Romans who drove them out of Palestine. “Those among the tribe of Israel who disbelieved were cursed on the tongue Dawud and that of Isa, son of Maryam” (Quran 5:78).Jerusalem is sacred to Muslims because of two major reasons: 1) The first Qibla of the Muslims was there, 2) Due to miraculous journey (Mairaj) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Besides these, the city is special because the site around Al-Aqsa Mosque is referred in Quran as “Whose surroundings we have blessed”. Many prophets are also buried in Jerusalem. In AD637, Palestine came under the control of the Muslims which brought an end to an era which was full of wars and bloodshed. The conqueror of this great land this time was Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second Caliph. With the advent of Islam and Muslim rule in Palestine, Jerusalem became civilised, justice and tolerance prevailed. But it soon ended with the advent of the
Crusaders. On the call of Pope Urban II on November 27, 1095, more than 100,000 Europeans advanced towards Palestine to free the ‘Holy Land’ from the Muslims. The crusaders reached Jerusalem in 1099, and after four to five weeks, Jerusalem was under the control of the crusaders. It’s said that in two days the crusaders brutally killed nearly 40,000 Muslims. This rule was short-lived and the great Saladin started the war against the crusaders at the battle of Hattin in 1187. He captured Jerusalem on the holy night of Al-Qadr and freed it from 88 years of crusader’s occupation. Not a single Christian was killed. On the other hand in 1194, Richard the Lion hearted, executed around 3,000 Muslims in the Castle of Acre.Sultan Salem captured Jerusalem in 1514 and 400 years of Ottoman rule in Palestine began. A thirty years war (1618-1648) broke because Spain was not tolerating the existence of Muslims and Jews. Due to this, nearly one-third of the population
of Germany was killed. Ottoman sultans brought peace and justice in the holy land, but

If a child is educated on this subject, the urge

 brew within them

This argument against 'sex education' is ABJECT NONSENSE. The
feelings of puberty will brew within EVERT adolescent, educated or
not.

Even more importand virtually every child WILL get educated, if not by
the school then by their friends in private conversations. (This
has been true since the dawn of history.)

The key is to find a proper educational method that reinforces the message of morailty while teaching the facts.

this year, they are taught 'sex education'. My
question is: Is this allowed? I have had a meeting
with the teacher and she has explained briefly what is
involved, however, i would welcome a Sharia ruling on
this. My younger brother is a Maulana and he advises
that it is permissable as long as there is no video or

Answer
There are two aspects to this query:

A) Education b) morality

Sex education is a topic. It does not only concentrate
on the physical aspects of intimacy but also
highlights issues of HIV, AIDS and other medical
related issues. However, the issue of immorality
cannot be separated from such a topic. It is fact that
a child by nature is adventurous. If a child is
educated on this subject, the urge to test the feeling
of physical satisfaction will brew within them, thus
opening the doors of fornication, masturbation, etc,
etc. In brief the harms of outweigh the benefit hence
it is not permissible even tough there is no video or
graphic images.

And even if has really changed, with the kind ofrelations he has
what is the guarantee that hewillcut off all relations afterwards
and that you will behaving apeacefull life. And what is
the guarantee that he will not get into more relations later.

Sister, this man is playing with your honor and your life. If indeed he
has changed, he wouldnt be messing with you but instead he would rush
tosettle the matter with his first wife bydivorcing her if she is
notconvinced to be a muslim. Most importantly, he wouldalso settle
with the second women by marrying her and takingthe responsibility
of the child and and at the same time trying to convince the women to be a
muslim. If the women is not convinced, than he should divorce her and take the
full responsibility of the child. If the women agrees than he should take full
responsibility of the women and the child.

Since he has not done either andhas not cleared himself from his
responsibilities, hisactions are suspect and succumbing to him would be
suicidal. Tell him clearly to first settle himself with thetwo women and
most importantly the status of the child. Note that if indeed he has changed
and is not just fooling around, he would be most concerned with his child. No
true muslim would allow his child to be under the upbringing of a non muslim.
I hope you understand the seriousness of this point.

Please sister, with the kind of past he has there is no way that you
should trust him. To go by his word would indeed be foolish and you may ruin
your life. Beware, it may just be a trap. He may be acting in good faith just
  to get a women.

Stop meeting him at once and tell him that you wouldnt meet him till
hesettles fully with the first two women.

Till he has done this, I see no point in youto divulge the matter
to your father / brother or wali anddoing acheck on this
man. There is only one option and that is you have to cut off all
  relations and forget this man.

If some times later he claims that he has settled with the two women
thanfind out whathehas done with the child. If he has given
the responsibility of the child to a non muslim women, than thereis no
way he can be trusted as he is ruining a whole progeny. This is a test which
says that the man is a fake. No muslim would do that.If he has left the
women and taken the responsibility of the child, than the next step would be
to mentally prepare yourself instaying with the child. If this is not a
problem, than tell your parents/ wali and a do a 200% thorough check on this
man verifying every aspect of his life. Only than can you think seriously of
marriage. Till this is done, do not destroy your life. Stop seeing and even
  talking to him.

All this would be just too much for you, I suggest, Sister, do not fall
into this mess. Pray to Allah swt to grant you areligious husband and
with clean background. Insha Allah he will listen to you soon.

For the man, if indeed he has changed, Allah swt will work out a solution
for him. Stop worrying about him and worry about your life.

The sister of a UK inmate of Guantanamo Bay has said she is
suspicious about the suicides of three detainees at the US base in Cuba.

Amani Deghayes and her family have campaigned for the release of her
brother Omar, 37, from Brighton, since his detention in 2002.

Ms Deghayes, from Kilburn, north London, said she did not know what to
think about the suicides.

I find it quite hard to believe they managed to kill themselves, she
said.

Her suspicions have been raised, she explained, because inmates are
allowed to have so few items in their cells.

'Act of warfare'

It is really shocking. There is a lot of abuse in the camp. My
brother lost an eye because of it, she said.

The camp commander Rear Admiral Harry Harris has said the two Saudis
and a Yemeni killed themselves in an act of asymmetric warfare waged
against the US.

The mens' bodies were found by camp guards on Saturday morning.

Mr Harris said they hanged themselves with clothing and bed sheets.

If they did kill themselves, then it is understandable, said Ms
Deghayes.

It (Guantanamo) is such a closed institution and they are in such a
horrible situation.

Mr Deghayes was arrested in Pakistan and accused of committing
terrorist acts against the US, but his lawyers claim it was a case of
mistaken identity.

Libyan-born Mr Deghayes, fled his homeland with the family in 1986 and
was given asylum.

Last month the High Court in London ruled the Foreign Office had no
obligation to put pressure on the US to release him, and two other
British residents, because they did not have UK citizenship.

Ms Deghayes said as far as she knows her brother is in a different
area of the camp to the highest security section where the inmates died.

But the news I have of him is at least a year old - I have absolutely
no idea where he is now, she said.

[IslamCity] Re: What Are The Requirements To Reflect Over the Qur'an?

2006-06-14 Thread jumadaaloola1427
Assalamu aleikum.

Hesham A. Hassaballa says it's funny that people tell him he's not
qualified to make judgments on ayats of the Holy Qur'an. Actually,
it's not funny at all. Hassaballa, you should take to heart the
point that you are utterly unqualified to make statements about the
Holy Qur'an.

You claim that you are not talking about making Qur'anic exegesis, or
tafsir, but that is precisely what you are doing.

You ask: Why do so many Muslims immediately jump to what shaikh
so-and-so has said about a verse of the Qur'an before thinking about
the verse beforehand? The answer is not complicated. The Qur'an
itself orders us when we don't know or understand, to seek out those
who do. What could be more elementary?

Then you go on to ask: Why can't we - before consulting a scholar -
think about what a particular verse means to ourselves? Again, the
answer is simple. The Qur'an must be studied in its entirety, as a
whole, and not just this or that particular ayat in isolation. That
requires someone who has invested years of study of the Holy Qur'an
and the hadith, and is knowledgeable in seerah of Rasulullah (S.A.W.),
fiqh and other categories. Most of the errors that the christians and
others make about the Holy Qur'an result precisely from making YOUR
deviant error - viewing an ayat, or group of ayats, in isolation.

You vainly try to rationalize your approach with an appeal to ayats
from the Holy Qur'an. Reflect on the creation of the heavens and the
earth doesn't even come close to meaning that anyone should reflect
on this or that ayat of the Holy Qur'an. That ayat which urges us to
ponder Creation you use here as a device to manipulate your reader
into supporting your deviant view. Your silly case demonstrates the
flawed and illogical nature of your claim to make personal exegesis
without the necessary foundation and preparation.

You go on to whine, Furthermore, they hold the opinions of various
scholars on Qur'anic verses as sacrosanct, beyond all questioning and
reproach. Why? Why can't we question the opinion of a scholar?

That is just so much nonsense. There are abundant scholars throughout
the ages who have expounded on the meaning of the ayats of the Holy
Qur'an. If you question the statement of one scholar, you search for
another scholar holding a different view. If you find an accepted
scholar who holds a different view, you are entitled to follow that
view. And if you cannot find any scholar from among those uncounted
thousands who holds a different view, then that fact speaks for
itself. It certainly isn't for anyone to break up this deen by making
things up as he goes along, as you do.

Your rejection of punishment for apostasy and your misunderstanding of
the ayat about there being no compulsion in religion is a textbook
example of why these matters are left in the hands of scholars. Can
you produce a single reliable scholar through all the ages who accepts
your view that this ayat means that you can openly leave the deen
after having embraced Islam? If not, doesn't that fact speak for
itself in response to your personal deviation from Islam?

The idiotic idea has emerged that just because someone is skilled and
has a Ph.D as an engineer or an M.D. as a doctor, that therefore such
person is inherently knowledgeable about the Holy Qur'an. This is
nonsense, yet you support such stupidity. If I came into your office
and told you how to treat a patient you would berate me, and properly
so. Yet, you feel free to comment on Qur'anic ayats without the
requisite training. You post the following false analogy:

-
Is Islam a profession such as [doctors, engineers, etc.]? If someone
wants to become a Muslim, is her or she required to go to college for
four years, then four years of Islamic school, then complete a 3-7
year Islamic residency in order to be a board-certified Muslim?
No. We Muslims, in fact, brag about how easy it is to become a Muslim:
simply declare There is nothing worthy of worship except God, and
Muhammad is His Messenger.
-

Your analogy is false and demonstrates the sort of poor reasoning
skills that require an alim. A correct analogy would be that of a
patient (the Muslim) to a doctor (an alim). Being a patient requires
no years of study; being a doctor who is qualified to comment on a
patient does. Being a Muslim requires no years of study; being an alim
who is qualified to comment on our deen does.

It has long been the policy of the CIA, Mossad, hindutva and other
operatives to demolish our deen the way the christians demolished
their own: by pondering their own biblical verses, their religion
has been atomized into literally millions of sects, many numbering
just one person, each articulating its own uninformed babble and
utterly unable to enforce the most basic moral standards. As one
result of such individualistic pseudostudy, surveys now establish that
more people in the UK believe in ghosts and UFOs than believe in God.
That is an accomplishment which the kaffirs

[IslamCity] Mogadishu Islamists ban World Cup, spark protests

2006-06-14 Thread saiyed shahbazi

Mogadishu Islamists ban World Cup, spark protests By Mohamed Ali Bile MOGADISHU (Reuters) - Islamist militiamen shot in the air to disperse hundreds of Somalis protesting early on Saturday against moves by sharia courts to stop them watching the World Cup in the capital Mogadishu, residents said. The football tournament had drawn huge crowds to television screens set up under trees and iron-sheeted shacks,
providing some escape from the tension that has gripped Mogadishu since Islamists seized control from an alliance of warlords on Monday. Witnesses said scores of young men set fire to tyres late on Friday in protests that carried on into the early hours of Saturday after Islamist gunmen pulled the plug on makeshift cinemas airing the football tournament. Two people were wounded when militia tried to break up the demonstrations that centred around the main livestock market in an Islamist stronghold in the capital's north, residents said. "The Islamic militia of the area issued an order to stop them watching films as well as the World Cup this year in Germany," said Elmi Muse, a resident contacted by Reuters. "It is unacceptable to oppress the people," he added. Similar moves by Islamist militia to close cinemas and video stores in Mogadishu last November triggered heavy fighting that killed at least 12 people and
wounded more than 20. Leaders of the capital's influential Islamic courts oppose Western and Indian films which they say promote immorality in the mainly Muslim nation of 10 million people. Some residents fear the latest move to outlaw foreign entertainment is proof the Islamists want to create a Muslim state following their victory against a self-styled anti-terrorism coalition of secular warlords, believed to be backed by Washington. The Islamic courts have been popular for restoring a semblance of order through sharia law in parts of the anarchic city, carved into fiefdoms by warlords who ousted military ruler Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991. However, the World Cup ban stirred resentment among locals, already weary of the fighting in Mogadishu that has killed 350 people in three months. "The residents of this area are very sorry about the way the Islamic militia is behaving towards the people at a time when our
society needs peace and stability," said Moallim Hussein Abdi, a teacher. One teenager was defiant. "We do not accept the Islamic militia stopping us from watching the World Cup," Ahmed Yusuf, 19, said. "We'll continue demonstrating until they relent." (c) Reuters 2006. All rights reserved. {Invite (mankind, O Muhammad ) to the Way of your Lord (i.e. Islam) with wisdom (i.e. with the Divine Inspiration and the Qur'an) and fair preaching, and argue with them in a way that is better. Truly, your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Path, and He is the Best Aware of those who are guided.} (Holy Quran-16:125)

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness), and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: I am one of the Muslims.} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels. [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all. [Muslim, Ahmad, Aboo Daawood, an-Nasaa'ee, at-Tirmidhee, Ibn Maajah]
