His remarks at Columbia University were almost entirely boycotted by western and specially US media; while he spoke of such crucial issues as Iran's nuclear program and the Holocaust which have always been at the center of western media's attention, almost the only point the US press mentioned about Ahmadinejad's address at Columbia university pertained to a few seconds of his answer to a question about the rights of homosexuals in Iran. Thus, we felt bound to present President Ahmadinejad's speech to our dear viewers. The following is the full text of President Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia University. In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful Oh God, hasten the arrival of Imam Al-Mahdi and grant him good health and victory and make us his followers and those who attest to his right fullness Distinguished Chancellor and Academicians, Dear Professors and Students, At the beginning I would like to extend my greetings to you. I thank the Almighty for providing me with the opportunity to be among you the distinguished researchers who are seeking realities for the promotion of science and wisdom. Professors and Ulamas are shinning torch who shed light in the dark in order to remove darkness and ambiguities guiding the humanity out of ignorance and confusion. The keys for understanding realities of the world are in the hands of researchers and those who are after knowledge and wisdom. Undiscovered areas and undisclosed and hided world and science are not limited and the windows of realties may be opened only through efforts of scholars and learned people. By every effort one window is opened and one reality is discovered. Whenever the high status of science and wisdom is maintained and protected and dignity of scholars and researchers are respected, the humanity has been able to take long strides towards his spiritual and physical promotion and evolution. And vice-versa every time the scientific progress and scholars and researchers have been suppressed and neglected, the human being have become stranded in the darkness of ignorance and negligence. If it was not for the sake of the human nature which tends towards continuous discovery of realties and wisdom, the human being have always been remained stranded in ignorance and no way was discovered and opened for the well being of human beings. Nature of the human being is in fact the present granted by the Almighty to all human beings. The Almighty led the human beings to the world and granted them with wisdom and knowledge as His prime gift in order for them to know Him as best as possible. In the story of Adam a discussion was made between the Almighty and His Angels. The Angles called the human being as an ambitious and merciless creature and protested against his creation. But the Almighty responded: I know what you are ignorant of. Then the Almighty taught the human being the realities of the world and at the order of the Almighty he revealed them to the Angles. The Angels could not understand the realities revealed by the human being. The Almighty said Did not I say I am aware of the hidden. In this way the Angles bent down before the Human being. In the mission of all divine prophets firstly the signs of the realities have been revealed and the divine book and wisdom have been represented to all with piety and faithfulness: And he was taught wisdom, the divine book, the Old Testament and the New Testament. He is the prophet appointed for the sake of the Children of Israel. And I rightfully brought a sign from the Almighty. 'Holy Quran, Ale Omran Surah' The first words which were revealed to the Holy Prophet of Islam were calling the prophet for reading: Read in the name of your God who supersedes every thing The Almighty who taught the human being with pencil The Almighty taught human beings what they were ignorant of You see in the first verses revealed to the Holy Prophet of Islam, words of reading, teaching and pencil are mentioned. These verses in fact introduce the Almighty as the Teacher of human beings. The Teacher who taught human beings what they were ignorant of. In another part of Quran, on the mission of the Holy Prophet of Islam it is mentioned that the Almighty appointed some one from ordinary people as their prophet in order to; Read for them the divine verses And purify them from ideological, and ethical contaminations And teach them the divine book and wisdom. You asked the president approximately ten questions. Allow us to ask you ten of our own questions in the hope that your response will help clear the atmosphere of misunderstanding and distrust between our two countries and reveal the truth. 1- Why did the US media put you under so much pressure to prevent Mr. Ahmadinejad from delivering his speech at Columbia University? And why have American TV networks been broadcasting hours of news reports insulting our president while refusing to allow him the opportunity to respond? Is this not against the principle of freedom of speech? 2- Why, in 1953, did the US administration overthrow the Iran's national government under Dr Mohammad Mosaddegh and go on to support the Shah's dictatorship? 3- Why did the US support the blood-thirsty dictator Saddam Hussein during the 1980-88 Iraqi-imposed war on Iran, considering his reckless use of chemical weapons against Iranian soldiers defending their land and even against his own people? 4- Why is the US putting pressure on the government elected by the majority of Palestinians in Gaza instead of officially recognizing it? And why does it oppose Iran 's proposal to resolve the 60-year-old Palestinian issue through a general referendum? 5- Why has the US military failed to find Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden even with all its advanced equipment? I feel hopeless, restless, I can't sleep and my body hurts all the
time I don't eat hardly anymore ( i skip the meal before sunrise and

I really have to like to go to work . I feel like I'm in a deep dark

September 28, 2007 Friday Ramazan 15, 142 Final divine revelation By Manzoor Ahmad Friday feature THERE has been a common perception among the adherents of other faiths that the Holy Quran is merely a book of rituals for Muslims, seemingly due to some mis-persuasions, misconceptions or misconstructions. The Glorious Quran, the last of the four revealed books the other three being: Zaboor (Psalms to David), Taurat (Torah to Moses) and Injil (Bible to Jesus) is the most sacred and noble Divine revelation and that too not for any particular period, place and people but for all times and for all humanity. It is eternal and will never be out of date. The Holy Quran does not simply address to the Muslims as O ye who believe! rather at numerous places it also addresses as O ye people! i.e. to the totality of mankind, which in unequivocal words convey the message of human fraternity in its fullest form as well as equality in social norms, encompassing the whole human race without any discrimination on the basis of cast and creed, land, language and clan and colour. The oneness of the humanity is eloquently expressed in the Holy Quran in these words, O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (49:13) and Mankind was one single nation, (2:213). Nations and tribes are constituted by individuals, and individuals on one hand constitute families and on the other human societies, interrelated and interlinked. In the families and societies, certain people deserve some status or place on account of their obligations or relationship, whereas others deserve some considerations on the ground of their peculiar conditions or circumstances. To substantiate the above, a few verses from the Holy Quran are quoted. Treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; (2:83). In another verse the divine commandment is thus: And good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, those in need, neighbours who are near, neighbours who are strangers, the companion by your side, the way-farer (ye meet) and what your right hands possess: (4:36). In both of the verses, orphans are placed just after parents and near relatives. It vividly manifests how much significance is attached to them. Their care is the responsibility of society, a universal norm irrespective of any discrimination. Likewise is the case of those in need. None can deny even today that those who are in need of some sort of genuine help deserve full support of society. In the above verse, the others who have been mentioned are the neighbours, both near or strangers, the companion, the way-farer and the slaves. The neighbours being close prove to be of help; according to ibn-Kathir they may either be Muslims, Jews or Christians. The companions or the friends play an important role in social life. The divine proclamation about the way-farer reflects firstly dignity of man and secondly motivates the humanity to come forward to help the people who may either be travellers or strangers stranded on the way. Then come slaves; slavery now is almost no more a problem but for very long it had been a blot on the social fabric. They were never treated as human beings and were deprived of all sorts of religious, moral, social and economical rights. Not only that but they were inhumanly treated, severely penalised, physically tortured and freely sold or purchased. It is Islam that called for getting them enfranchised and thus elevated their social status, a radical departure from the centuries old custom. The Holy Quran further stresses, And that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. (17:23). With showing kindness, the Holy Quran also enjoins for financial help in these words, . To spend of your substance out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the way-farer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; (2:177).Here it will not be out of place to mention that the Holy Quran discourages prodigality, But squander not (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. (17:26). Further it enunciates that the midway is the best way, Make not thy hand tied to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach, so that thou become blameworthy and destitute. (17:29). Human society cannot claim to be fair unless there is justice. The Holy Quran candidly urges, And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: (4:58); and further, Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to God, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: (4:135). India manufacturing 'terrorists': letter from an 'informant' Posted September 24th, 2007 by kashif I am writing this letter from Tihar Jail with the aim of saving innocent youths from getting trapped by unscrupulous security officials. My name is Irshad Ali, s/o Mohammad Yunus, incarcerated in ward no. 5 (high risk ward), cell no. 13 in jail no. 8 of Delhi's Tihar Jail. Many of you may have read my story in The Times of India dated September 13, 2007 citing a CBI report confirming that IB and Special Cell of Delhi Police had framed us. But I doubt if the CBI will nail the actual culprits. I was working as an informer for the Special Cell of Delhi Police, which works closely with the IB. Having worked with them, I feel duty bound to apprise the nation of how they manufacture terrorists. Have you ever noticed how quick our agencies are in nabbing the culprits even before they strike? But how they still have not yet been able to lay their hands on any terrorist involved in the Mumbai and Delhi blasts? I have the answers. In order to keep their ranks and earn rewards, Special Cell creates terrorists. They have employed a number of youths on a very paltry remuneration. They are not regular employees, but vagabonds who are given mobile phones and protection. They are asked to fan out and hire accommodation somewhere in the city. They mingle with unemployed youth and befriend people. After identifying vulnerable targets, they form a group, arrange weapons and incite these youth to go for a robbery. Special Cell secretly also provides them a stolen vehicle, which is procured from known car thieves. These youths who vest all their trust in the Special Cell agent finally one day decide to go for an operation. On reaching the target, they are trapped in the net. The police are already there and they are all nabbed. Interestingly, the agent, who is also a mastermind is never caught. Medals and bravery awards follow. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) feeds the government and media with concocted stories. Have you noticed that those killed in encounters are invariably found carrying details like their names, rank in the organisation etc in their pockets? They die without firing a bullet and even if they fire, it never hits the target. Compare it with the Army's encounters with real terrorists in Kashmir. In almost every battle, one or two personnel get bullet wounds. Either our Army is not as trained as the Special Cell of Delhi Police, or these encounters are fake. The Special Cell is a group of licensed marauders. They are venomous against Muslims. My only fault was that I refused to go along with them for too long. They know in the name of Islamic terrorism, you can book anyone, plant explosives, give the name of some organisation and get away with it. I am pained to say, our courts too fall in line. I was in their confinement for over two months. After my father lodged a complaint in the local police station and the family of my co-accused, Nawab S/o Qamar, gave a look out notice on TV, they produced us claiming we had been nabbed with explosives while returning after a two-month training. We challenged it in the high court, which later directed the CBI to inquire. CBI has submitted its preliminary report. I don't think they will go too far to book their cousins in the IB and Special Cell. For the past one-and-half years, we have been identifying the place where we had been kept for two months. But they are deliberately not putting it on record. I appeal to PM Dr Manmohan Singh, to step in and put a stop to such activities.
