Thanks so much for forwarding this website. It's excellent. I was looking for a photo of what's left of Burhan's grandfather's home in Beit Gibrean which we visited 20 years ago, but didn't see it.
Does anyone know of people collecting and archiving Palestinian historical artifacts? I have a friend in Hamilton whose basement looks like a Palestinian museum. He has collected original land deeds, maps, other documents, books, Life magazines; antigue dresses, silver jewellery, rugs, furniture, coffee pots, all kinds of amazing things from 1948 and before. They are beauitfully displayed and protected. It really is an excellent start to a wonderful Palestinian museum. I wonder who else is collecting these invaluable items. With increased business and tourist travel throughout the Middle East, commercial collectors, and catastrophes like the Palestinian dress exhibit going "missing" at an LA airport, it's vital to keep these items in responsible Palestinian hands.
