As Salaamu Alaikum Community, This is a national campaign to support this organization. This appeal goes out to over 10,000 clean email addresses. Many of the addresses are to leaders of organizations and groups. Your help is need to end the crimes and abuses to many Muslims in our community. These crimes are happening in the home so many are afraid to approach the subject. We must! Innocent children are being hurt daily due to ignorance and misinterpretation of scripture. Only those of us who are balanced, humble, striving Believers can end the trend of silence when it comes to Spousal Abuse, Domestic Violence or Family Violence. The stats are alarming and Muslims are in those stats. One of our three women in America will be or has been abused in her home in some way. We have stats to show that at least one out of 10 Muslim women are affected in this manner. The stats are very conservative due to many Muslim women are still not reporting being abused in the home. This includes sexual violence to women and children. The elderly are affected as well. No one is immune from this horrible and heinous malady in our society. What can you do to help? Give your prayers. Give your time. Give your resources. Do you know that $2.00 per year from 10,000 or more people will assist in opening Hotlines, more shelters for those who need to leave abusive homes, more assistance with medical, legal and career/job services. Do you know that for $2 you can help someone rebuild their lives in peace and dignity. Do you know that for $2 you can assist someone who is a perpetrator (who wants to be helped) get the help he or she may need?
